I'm totally willing to put some real money in this game to get some useful blueprints, but all the list of stuff on the market is... questionable. I see a lot of Militia grade stuff that is pretty cheap to begin with, so the thought of having an infinite amount seems kind of pointless.
However, I know a lot of you veteran players own blue print copies of various types of gear. What I would like to know is specifically which blue print copies you're most satisfied with buying? Maybe you didn't even buy 5, but are there any blue prints that you would really recommend? Some you wouldn't? I think this would help out new players and encourage people to buy some AUR.
Thanks! |

I find this a hard question to answer. There was an advantage for us "vets" (not sure if I get to count as a vet, but I did play some closed beta) -- there was a time when these blueprints were about 20 to 30 AUR each, so we stocked up!
Here's some of my thoughts on the bpo's: * I haven't checked which ones give the best ISK value * CPU upgrade gets used reasonably frequently by me, as scouts seem to have CPU trouble. The militia one seems powerful enough to not need a better CPU * Grenades are occasionally useful, but the non-militia ones give you 3 instead of 2 grenades, so I prefer to use non-militia * Items that are very useful in their base form seem valuable, if you can fit them -- nanohive, uplink, injector -- all these items work well in their militia form by giving you a radically new power. Something like a damage boost, on the other hand, just improves by a small amount. They seem to me to be less compelling * CPU/PG requirements on militia are higher than the base ones. So they only tend to get used when you're planning base item anyway, and happen to have the CPU/PG spare to fit militia. I sometimes for a cheap fit use armour plates or militia armor repper, but the better ones really are better :)
Anyway, basic thought: I'm not too convinced that these bpo's are worth it for their price. It would not surprise me if CCP increased the isk cost (and rewards) of dust across the board. If that happened, these bpo's might be worth more, due to the wealth disparity between dust and eve. As it stands, I'm not sure I could recommend them.
And finally, best to check how much isk each item will actually save you. Maybe consider what you'll be using a month from now. Or, even better, wait until after May 6th to see what changes that brings! |

First things first blue print copies (BPCs) are used up every time you die, they are just the standard items you buy from the market. Blue print originals (BPOs) are the ones that never run out.
My biggest advice on getting BPOs - don't do it. use the money on SP boosters. If i didn't buy the militia BPOs back when they were 10 aur a pop I never would have considered getting them.
Since you are going to be spending real money just get the merc pack, the toxin SMG is my favorite BPO, it's nice being able to toss a sidearm on any fit without worrying about spending the extra ISK, and the dragonfly suit is really nice as well. You also get a pile of AUR and a 30-day active booster.
The only BPOs available on the market worth taking a second glance at is the STD level bpo suits.
I don't think those are worth it for the price either. It's your call, but that AUR is better off getting you more SP IMO.
TL;DR get a merc pack to give CCP their paycheck but use that AUR on boosters as the BPOs don't provide a good enough return of investment to justify their price. |

1. Standard Assault Suit 2. Standard Logibro suit 3. Standard Scout Suit (or Dragonfly if that doesn't exist) 4. The default taxi 5. I don't know. I guess the Nanite Injector? Why go in alone when you can have a live distraction and get some extra WP outta the deal?
I've been using the "SVER" Logistics suit for ages, equipped with the "Exile" Assault Rifle, the Militia Armor Repairer, Militia Remote Armor Repairer, Militia Nanite injector, Militia Nanohive, Militia Armor Plates, Militia Grenades, and Militia I can't remember what it is. Let's me gather up SP like crazy and is completely free so I stack ISK for the purchase of random crap for better suits/tests.
All of that is militia BPOs. It wouldn't be if I wasn't messing around with everything to see if there's something I really like before the SP reset I learned about right before coming back. |

Thanks for the help! And yes, I meant BPOs not BPCs.
Which pack contains the Exile Assault Rifle? I'm interested in that one. |

I believe it was a reward for closed beta peeps... or at least an event in the closed beta |

Chromebreaker, that is true. However you can get the Exile AR by bying the starter pack from PSN also. (PS+ users got it free some time ago)
