So I'm starting over on the assualt class, because I feel like I'm not quiet hitting this one right. So my questions are as followed.

 -SP investment out the gate
-SP main focus for skills as you advance
 -Fittings(Weapon, Sidearm, Mods)
 -Tactics/Advice

So those are the questions I'm looking to have answered and also anything you guys have to offer that I didn't list or just some seasoned vets wisdom. Thank you for your time and I trust you guys will bear great info.

 25% cpu
 25% pg
 25% shield
 25% armor
 10% damage (weaponry)

either assault rifle or laser rifle skill maxed (operations and proficiency)
 light weapon skills all maxed

 assault dropsuit skill for prototype

skills you will need for modules top meta
if it is a skill that only reduces cpu or pg get it to the level you need for the best module if you how ever run out of cpu or pg keep upping that skill to 5 for the extra cpu pg.

 I mean I don't even run assault but there's a list it's pretty easy.

make sure to put those 10% damage modifiers on it.

Then just max everything out in whatever order you feel is best. I like going over and spreading my points fairly evenly between the stuff I need instead of spending a ton of SP to max out one skill. Why get a small bonus when I can get many bonuses!

Some guys get a proto suit before a proto AR so they can fit everything. Others like to get the proto duvolle/officer balocs and run worse mods because they love the damage. Just stick to the shield assault dropsuit. I have seen plenty of guys just stay in a type-II suit even though they can get an A series. But others like A series for better stats in certain areas, so they go with that.

You can throw a few points into a sidearm if you want to, and maybe some into grenades and some equipment. Sidearm is nice, grenades and equipment are too.

Screw around, have fun, decide what you like before the SP refund and put points into what you want to do.

Step 1: Assault Type 2 dropsuit
Step 2: Get to level 1 or 2 in either AR, Laser Rifle, or SMG
Step 3: Start putting points into skills that give passive bonuses like sharpshooter or shields

The first thing you need to do is not die (better dropsuit). The second thing you need to do is be able to kill people (level 1 or 2 in the weapon of your choice). The third thing you need to do is give yourself as many passive bonuses as possible (shield recharge rate, armor repair, increased weapon range). Look into the skill descriptions to decide which ones you like the most. Eventually you'll tap into a little bit of everything, but first and foremost you need a better suit and gun.

You forgot complex shield extenders :P
(I'm assuming you meant to put it in with the dropsuit?)
