My first opinion is that it is pretty bad. The UI is ugly, the controls feel strange, its impossible to apply to a corp, and I'm just waiting to finish the tutorial missions so I can get ganked over and over by someone who has way better gear than me. Besides, you can't even get a half decent ship without grinding for hours and waiting even longer for skills to train, and then navigating the incredibly complicated marketplace to find a deal that may or may not be screwing you over. If I ever figure out how to join the corp I am currently enlisted in in dust, I'm asking them for plex 'cause i'm not paying for this. |

Forlorn Destrier wrote:1. The UI is customizable due to depth; the amount of information needed makes putting an easy to navigate UI difficult at best, and still manage to find everything relatively easily. 2. This is not a WASD game; you will use your overview for navigation. 3. Applying to a corp is easy - you click "show info" on the corp, then click "apply to corp" at the bottom; the interview process that a lot of corps use can be complext - pick one that is casual if you don't want to feel like you are applying for a job 4. You will get good frigates for free as part of the tutorials 5. The skill tree being 100% passive means you don't have to grind needless missions to level up, and can take time off so you don't have to play when you don't feel like it, and won't feel penalized when you come back. 6. There are plenty of things to purchase at the low end of the spectrum which are effective and and inexpensive; playing with them to find your favorite is best - check the bonuses to see what each has a role for and use the ship for that role insted of going against the grain 7. The market place is sortable based on price/location 8. A plex costs about 600 million ISK; I wouldn't expect someone to give you one given it is more expensive than most of the ships in the game. Well, thanks for the info. From what i've seen, plex costs about 500 mil, and from what i've heard, a single player can have over a billion isk. In a large corp with many players paying taxes, they would theoretically have a lot of isk. Also, please tell me how to get to a list of corps, as all I can find is the list to search adverts |

Yeah, thanks for the help and all, but i don't really think EVE is right for me. I prefer the fast pace and relative obviousness of an FPS game like dust. Besides, I hate monthly subscriptions. So, see you all on the flip side so to speak, and I'll be looking forward to the update that let's us fire back at those spreadsheet loving space business men. |
