So... I have a question.... currently, half the time a scout or a fast assault suit (a Type-ll/B-Series/Vk.1 with no plates) can strafe through HMG fire unscathed and half the time it's melted immediately upon contact. Same goes for almost every rapid fire weapon in the game really (almost). I've experienced this from both the HMG side and the scout/assault side.
So, my question: Will hit detection finally be fixed vs faster suits in the next build? Or is it a server issue that needs to be worked out by working on the server and not the game? |

Yes, it sucks. Yes, it's frustrating. You know what's even more frustrating?
Getting an underpowered archtype getting another nerf. In that case, let me be very clear:
CCP, if you see this post, I am NOT suggesting you nerf anything in order to fix the hit detection!
There, can't be more clear than that. Still haven't gotten my questions answered though... |

There, can't be more clear than that. Still haven't gotten my questions answered though... You do realize that "fixing" hit detection basically is a nerf to Scouts by itself, due to us only having a 0.70 m/s faster speed than Assault Suits, right? Hell, cross into the fact that you turn up on radar (regardless of skills/modules to reduce profile) because of the -ONE- Red-Line sniper aiming in your general direction and the broken hit detection is about the only damned defense we Scouts have against everyone else. Doesn't mean it doesn't need to be fixed. Once it's fixed scouts will be ready for a buff, but until then I want to damage what I hit regardless of it's speed or distance from me. |
