May 6th will determine the best corps

Dr Debo Galaxy GunFall Mobilization Covert Intervention 315	Posted - 2013.04.11 23:47:00 - [1] - Quote I keep seeing a lot of "this is the best corp" or "we are the best corp", but won't May 6th truly determine who the best corp is? Right now all we have to go off of is KDR or total WP which can all be achieved without winning the match. Even the W/L portion of the leader board is not accurate. On May 6th I feel we will start seeing who has the brains in there corps. THis is what I feel will determine the best corps out there, the brains not the brawn. What corp has the best leadership I feel will be on top, not the best shooters. I guess to make this a discussion what corp other than your own do you feel will be the Cinderella story of May 6th? What corps do you feel will implode the first week?

And from what I've seen, all corps are pretty terrible, so I think it would be far more appropriate to say, "May 6th will determine the least terrible corps."

What corps do you feel will implode the first week? what else will determine best? because leadership is a good point but i feel ur making it about who can hold most sov = best, at least thats the sorta vibe i get. Not everyone is into holding massive amounts of districts, some might be into pure merc work so deciding who is best is a tricky thing when ppl will have different goals for PC

Maybe just a small increase in players with some older guys checking out new features followed by a decline back to normal levels. Most potential players have already gotten their first impression of the game and it wasn't positive. They're not going to come back for seconds unless the game is rebranded.

What does make a corp best or can a corp even be best? With the thread iwas trying to say that there are many out there who are looking at the leaderboards and loud voices in the forums as the corps who will own New Eden from the beginning. But I feel there may be some little corps that are not the best at shooting but are great at brian games that will suprise us all. I always loved cinderella stories of the little guy no one has heard of coming out and dominating the playing field. But many of you have brought up that great point of what is best or worst for that matter. Maybe I should have stated it as good corps?

Maybe I should have stated it as good corps? leaderboards mean nothing. i do believe its too hard to judge corps on who is best tbh like i said ppl will play for different reasons u can try to categorize them but will end up with alot of sub-categories as well. Example: who the best at holding sov....u gotta break that down and compare the grps and grp ppl with similar size together to judge as largr grps will find it easier to hold sov than smaller grps but the smaller grp could be really damn good at the game but due to their size limit cant expand too much then u gotta look at those goin the merc route and this one is fairly easier to judge as size wont matter that much its mainly judging off ur ability to win 16v16 fights ur paid for. Sov however will be the main thing i feel ppl judge grps on. Hopefully the vision for PC helps all grps of different sizes and goals find their niche.

So that's one less Corp to worry about. I don't know if Regnum really is the head of the IMPS public relations whatever, but maybe he can confirm this? Seraphim Initiative, PFBHz, PRO(Maybe), and STB are the corps I currently see claiming districts left and right. Probably will be the biggest bullies as well. I don't think there will be a lot of contesting of districts for the first few months just because of how expensive it will be to do it.

Oh sure, if they hire other corps, but I don't think they have enough good players of their own to survive very long.

All these big name corps will be posturing and testing out the waters. There will be FF in PC so some of the great corps/mercs may need to get used to this play style. Also many of the little corps may try to make a name for them selves or even not understand the large battles or peeing contests they are walking into. Also are any of the bigger corps going to sit out the first few weeks to see how the chips fall? Or will some corps not even engadge in PC and just be a corp for hire and will gaurantee a win but demand a high price. I mean really the possibilities are endless. April showers will definitly not be bringing May flowers. Except maybe burial wreaths.

No i dont think may 6th determine,what is the best corp bcause there is bigger corps and smaler corps.If you just look KDR then the bigger corps have of course better KDR(more people playing).

By that time Alliances and Corps will have settled in and there will be a large amount of fights. Remember CCP said that some fights for districts could take over a week. I look forward to how everything shakes up, which corps/alliances fall and which ones rise from the ashes.

The Devs finally acknowledged the Persistent Bug (their wording) four weeks after it started (Feb 28, 2013). It is going to be fixed in the next build. The only thing the current system is counting are the results when Clone Depletion is the end game condition. That would mean most Ambush and the rare Skirmish. Maybe all the values will be reset to Zero on May 6th. That would solve the obvious problem that they do not have adequate battle logs to correct the stats. Frankly I had expected it to be something they could fix in a day or, at least, correct the counts on a daily or weekly basis. Such is not the case. All this Corp posturing is in vain. We did get a nice pun though.

The one who holds most districts? The one who is richest? The one who wins most battles? The one with the higher KDR? The one with the highest ISK efficiency The one with most members? The list could go on since ther are so many details you can pick apart, ther is no truly best in the game, even if you do a tourny with rules even then ther will be winners who are the best at that time in that comp but they could lose the next day in PC and it means nothing once again

It would add to the gameplay/datamining experience if CCP fixed the reporting for the leaderboards and may added some filters so the stats were actually usable. Would make a big difference for players involved in PC, I think.

What corps do you feel will implode the first week? Define "Best" Some people use K/D as a reference. Some people use strategic goals. Other, use the ammount of fun they have on the game. What is your "Best" ? in before someone brags he has the most fun thus he is best

I play Dust 514ums alot more often then I get to play Dust. I don't have time to stake a claim and hold down the fort 1/7. IMO, the best corps will be known 5/6/2015 when we've been playing around for a long time and those corps that have fun are still here and those corps that can't get their act together or just make the game terrible will be gone. Then again by 5/6/2015 the EVE link should be fully active so we may just be invaded by terrible power blocks that make the entire game terrible. I'm having fun now though, So Onslaught is the best corp, to me at least.
