yes, skills are passive. field mechanics means you now have 15% more armor then the default level on any given suit. |

Dropsuit Command, Circuitry, Combat Engineering, Field Mechanics, Weaponry are what I would consider the core 5. There is some validity to all the 1x skills being "core" though I really think it all depends on your playstyle.
I'm curious how the calculations are totalled. |

Big ones are
Field Mechanics Circuitry (adds CPU space on suits/vehicles) Combat Engineering (Adds PG space on suits/vehicles) Weaponry (adds 3% more damage per level to all handheld weapons) Dropsuit Operation (-5% to Suit profile per level but the big thing is more you need it to level 3 if you want Heavy suits)
It requires more SP than the others but Shield Control (it has preq skills though) gives +5% max shield per level. To be able to use it you need to level up another shield skill which increases shield recharge rate by 3% each level (believe it needs to be 4?)
Those are the main ones for "all around" passive bonuses (some unlock equipment as well) |
