For a while, I really hated Manus Peak.
... Hell, I still kinda hate Manus Peak.
Then I picked up a tactical sniper rifle, found a little-used spot, and went sniper hunting.
Feelings of helpless rage much reduced.
Yes, there's a measure of irony there. No, I don't give a kitten. There's nothing quite like double-tapping the bastard who's been one-shotting your team. |

Hm. I don't know about the walls, but ...
The "head glitch," as I understand it, is a terrain rendering problem. The terrain you see, even through a sniper scope, is only a rough approximation of the terrain that is actually there. If your mark is hidden behind a little 2-foot mound (like the ones at the top of the road west of B on Manus Peak), they'll often look to you like they're entirely exposed ... but you can't get anything more out of them than the blue flash. Your system is saying, "Clear shot." Theirs is saying., "Not so fast-- mound of dirt in the way."
The interesting thing about this is that there is no "actual" head glitch-- they're not truly invulnerable, just minimally exposed. If they can shoot you, you can shoot them ... though it might only be the top half of their head that's poking up.
That's one reason I like the tactical: a better scope. Easier to adjust aim to try and find exposed slices of bastard sniper. |

Nah. It'll be scoped, it'll have arcing fire, and it'll very likely be single-shot, but it'll hit like a meteor strike on anything shy of a tank. Anti-material rifle. That's my guess. |
