It makes me wonder if you are aware of your own hypocrisy. I speak, of course, of AFK camping, and the people that take a large amount of time to kill AFK campers. I get that you don't condone camping, I am being useless to the team, etc. etc. but I wonder if you realize how much you are hurting the already crippled team by killing yourself twice to kill me once, and then try again even though I spawned back and am obviously not going to get kicked for not re-spawning.
I actually made it into a game, playing AFK then jumping out of range right before the grenade went off the person's hand, then they would re-spawn and try again. It was doubly ironic since they spawned in on the drop uplink I placed in the MCC, and therefore gave me SP every time they died. I ended up with more SP than the person that was attempting to kill me for being useless, and you can practically cut the irony with a knife it's so thick at that point.
My point is that you try to kill me for being a waste of space on your team, then you become a bigger waste of space by taking a large chunk out of your own team's clone count for suiciding so much. |

It just bugs me that people take a "moral stand" on the controversy of AFKing, then do something that is essentially worse, because they feel justified in doing so. |

I think the point is that in doing something to punish someone for hurting the team, they actually hurt the team more, and sometimes fail to punish the supposed wrongdoer. The effort would be better spent in trying to win the battle. |

I'm fully aware. And I'm also so hypocritical that after I am finished clearing the MCC of AFK campers, I myself have been known to go AFK up there. |

I want to use the saying, "two wrongs don't make a right", but then again, it won't work here because AFKing is not wrong. But the people who team kill those AFKers ARE wrong. They have no morals. They are just trying to impose their own gaming ways on me when I am perfectly content with my own playstyle, and the majority of that just happens to be jumping into a game of skirmish, then going off to drink a pint |

The reason, I presume, for people to try kill MCC Afkers, is not because they want to win, but because they don't expect to. They see one or two teammates sitting in the MCC and they give up. They lose heart and hope because why should they try win if you aren't?
It may seem petty, but psychologically, it's truly devastating. Why do you think Trotsky shot members of the Red Army who lost their courage and tried to retreat? Why do you think he threatened to kill their families if they deserted? Because if a dozen in a company desert, if one person in a unit loses hope, if a handful of soldiers in the entire army stop fighting, their despair spreads contagiously.
The length some of us will go to to do what? Enact justice? Those who kill afkers don't see their actions as justified. They have nothing better to do; they don't cripple the team because there is no team. A team works in cohesion to achieve a common purpose. That is what Trotsky succeeded in making his Red Army. A team.
You're also hypocritical here. They're crippling themselves by trying to hurt you because you've crippled them. |
