I am glad your idea will not work, stop ruining the skirmish matches and creating an SP gap.
CCP remove the soft cap already. |

CCP remove the soft cap already. How would removing the soft cap fix the SP gap?
No soft cap means we all have a more reasonable chance of reaching the cap each week without rewarding 24/7 gameplay, which isnt possible without this afk nonsense. |

CCP remove the soft cap already. Poor shooting mechanics, boring repetitive gameplay, absolutely zero incentive to play corp battles (which are basically going to be nonexistent next build), rubber banding that has gotten so bad that nobody plays, a lack of sensible progression that has made newbies so crushed they cant even dare to compete even when we do AFK(for the record those who were here before AFK know exactly how many complaint threads there were about unbalanced teams and getting stomped every match), a dwindling level of player interest. Sorry we are not the ones who ruined Skirmish or Dust for that matter, Without the AFKers grinding for SP this game would already be dead, we've been helping it limp along simply because we believe in its potential.(don't beleive me; todays a tuesday game is dead barely can get a full match anywhere and most of the time its throwing me into european servers which never happens thats how low the player count is). Tomorrow you will see a massive influx of players and tanks that will proceed to farm you to death if they decide not to AFK. By Saturday it will be dead again. So don't blame me because you are either 1. "Still improving" 2. New to the game 3. Grinding for your SP 4. Sadomasochist.
Nothing you wrote had anything to do with the SP cap. I dont care why you AFK, just that getting SP past the cap is even possible. And I have been here since EVE was in Beta.
Mark me as #5 you dont know jack about me or my dedication to the game. |

Id rather mark you as a fool that doesn't know a good FPS game if it hit you upside the head. Guess that makes you a bigger fool for playing it AFK just to stay ahead of a game you find inferior. |

CCP remove the soft cap already. Ummm... After you hit the cap AFK farming doesn't work. So as it is used to hit the cap it cannot be used to get the soft cap. To get the 1000 sp soft cap (or any sp for that matter) one has to get wp to get sp. It is a 1-1 ratio once cap has been hit. So you can afk farm to hit the cap but can't use it to get soft cap, once you get to soft cap only wp's get you sp so people can't use it to get way ahead. Removing the soft cap still prevents players from AFKing to the cap then playing for a normal human amount after the cap, thus still achieving the exact same result of playing for an artificial amount of time and SP. |

Lulz, man you are dense, you sure you've been playing eve since the beginning, you must not be that good. I said I was here from EVE Beta, not that I still play it..Sold my character Felsin years ago.
Why dont you just add me to contacts ingame, meet me in a match and then see if you have any more **** to talk.

No soft cap means we all have a more reasonable chance of reaching the cap each week without rewarding 24/7 gameplay, which isnt possible without this afk nonsense. What do you think the soft cap is that it would result in hitting the cap each week with greater ease? If you have no soft cap, you reach the overall cap (which would just be the hard cap) easier, because after reaching the hard cap there would be nowhere to go.

Sergeant Wiznowski wrote:There is simple thing that would reduce AFK - increase SP gains like it was in former weekly SP system.
I don't mind that someone will make weekly cap in one day instead one and half and spend time grinding sp. Good for them. Normal people just can't play in average for 2 hours every day just to get the SP cap. (2 skirmish match per hour / 7K SP per match)
If ever SP rollover will came, AFK will be even bigger thing than now. I would rather this than the current system. |

Do you think that the removal of the soft cap would result in SP gains increasing or that changing post-cap behaviour would somehow otherwise affect pre-cap gains? I don't understand why you think the 190k cap would be easier to reach. Really? I didnt say it would be faster or that it changes pre cap gains. All I said was that if you have no soft cap you help combat AFK because everyone can reach the cap easier, whether they afked or not.
Last post on the afk, bored of the responses I feel like a detective at a news conference with dumb reporters |

I don't understand why you think the 190k cap would be easier to reach. if you have no soft cap... everyone can reach the cap easier The cap is reached equally as easily. With a soft cap, there is no cap. So I hardly see how you reach a hard cap, and a soft cap which never ends, in the same ease. |

Mithridates VI wrote:Okay, I get where you're coming from. Unfortunately everyone would advance at the same pace, then, maintaining the current SP gap... except that a bunch of players would stop playing after the first couple days, which I'm pretty sure CCP doesn't want. oh, ya the gap itself cant really get smaller from that, just sort of maintain it or keep it from growing. Im sure uprising will keep people around enough.
Sorry I thought you were just trying to bug me lol |
