I don't know if it has been proposed before but what are your thoughts about a vehicle webbing grenade/equipment. Just like EVE webbing it would slow down the vehicle for a more effective AV gank.
Thoughts, do you like it or hate it? |

Not sure about that one... You can just blow it up. |

So you want a snare for vehicles?
I approve. |

I dunno, why throw a snare when you can just kill them..
I guess I can see this as a wide area of effect snare field generator kinda like a Bubble in Eve (Except affects speed instead of Warp)
I would maybe suggest using this as a deployable rather then a grenade, if used for what I described and giving a persistant effect, that would be broke as all get out. |

It would definitely have to be a temporary effect otherwise yes OP.
I understand what you're saying about just blowing it up but it would potentially allow an alternative to having to carry equip/grenade for destruction. It could still give you the ability to benefit to your squad. I could see a scout running in and deploying/throwing then GTFO allowing your squad mate's heavy/forge to properly position. |

If you're referring to Flux grenades then it only removes shields, doesn't effect speed (as far as I am aware, correct me if I'm wrong) and EMP would destroy all electronics, making it incapable of moving. I'm simply suggesting a speed reduction maybe 50% not stopping them completely. There is already a mechanic in EVE for this with ships. |

EMP damages shields but doesn't slow the target down.
In EVE, there are modules called "Stasis Webifiers" that slow down enemy ships. This makes it easier to hit them.
In DUST, they would serve much the same purpose. One of the best ways for a vehicle to avoid blowing up is to run like kitten out of an area.
By having some kind of webifier that makes that a lot harder, it forces vehicles to either: a) stay away from cover; or b) travel with backup.
Since this is what they are supposed to be doing anyway (if they don't want to die), I see no problem with a web grenade nor a web module nor with a deployable web field.
The key is balance. Everything should have a counter:
Web Grenade < Infantry Screen kills thrower. Web Module < Someone blows up the vehicle carrying it. Web Equipment < Infantry Screen shoots the generator, just like a Nanohive.
I would also be careful around the radius and duration.
For instance:
Web Grenade- Radius 15m | Movement penalty 90% | Duration 5s Web Module- Targeted | Movement penalty 50% | Duration 20s Web Equipment- Radius 20m | Movement Penalty 40% | Duration indefinite (destroyable) |
