GOTDUST wrote:I just wanted to first say, I have put a lot of money in this game. Due to glitches in open beta, I have lost a LOT of aur gear. Earlier merc packs stated aur would be credited on every reset and at final release. Is this still the case? Im not putting anymore money in this game untill what was taken is returned. As to the may 6th build, there r rumors flying everywhere. Don't buy any gear, use it all before the 6th, ect. If items are removed from market, are they gonna be refunded? I vote for a full AUR reset! You are getting a refund on ISK spent on skill books.
As for the AUR refund there are a few threadnaughts on here about it but CCP has not made an official statement on the subject. |

GOTDUST wrote:I will explain it as if if you were 5. Every merc pack I purchased in CLOSED beta stated FULL AUR CREDIT AT EVERY RESET AND OFFICIAL RELEASE. It was a legal binding contract. What, im suppose to take a REAL CASH loss due to GLITCHES in the program code? FK THAT! The spawning alone right in the middle of 6 eneimies costs a lot of people aur. How about the black screen of death, spawing 3 miles into red zone? Like I said Im not putting anymore money into this game until they make it right. Wait till you all have to rebuy BPOs at full price. Yea, you are going to take a REAL CASH loss due to GLITCHES in the program code. That's what you agreed to when you started playing. We all affirmed that we understood that CCP would not be held liable for any loss resulting in errors in the program. This too is legally binding. There is seriously nothing you can do about it and you look like an idiot for even saying it honestly. No one made you spend REAL CASH on an unfinished game. |

Amarrian Desperado wrote:Have you used any skillpoint boosters? Would you accept a personal AUR reset if you irreversibly lost any additional skillpoints that you attained with the help of boosters? (which, if you have been playing with boosters since january, could be several million skillpoints) How about if they also (and I have no idea if the stat tracking needed to do this is even possible) wiped out any warpoints/kills/etc you earned while using any kind of AUR equipment in your fitting? It would be kind of neat if CCP provided a good faith option to individually reset a customers aur purchases if they really wanted to because they didn't understand what was going on... with a caveat that would screw over the people who just want to start a kittenstorm to get free stuff Honestly this is a case where I would say if someone didn't understand what was going on it wasn't CCP's fault. We were given amble warnings and access to information so I don't think anyone deserves anything like that. CCP did plenty of talking, doesn't entitle anyone to special treatment because they weren't listening. |

Free Beers wrote:lol @ CCP for removing OG thread from closed beta where they said no one should pay for a beta.
When game is bad = CCP says its a beta still
When CCP wants your $ = It's commercial release, It's not commercial release, says nothing (current status)
Nice alt name btw OP They did refund it after the resets so we were able to test it out without losing money. And there's no reason someone couldn't have saved their AUR until they felt like the game was stable enough. I'm not defending CCP here as much as I'm pointing out that the OP chose to spend the money, he chose to buy stuff with the AUR and he chose to use it in a match even though he knew the game was still buggy as hell. |

All I pointed out was ccp choose to ignore the questions, then they lied about being in commercial release, then changed the EULA for merc packs, never made public comment about change or commercial release, then 2 months later admit its not commercial release.
While i spent a lot of money on all my accounts I dont want my aurum back for gear. That said CCP is in the wrong here in a big way. The only reason I haven't taken ccp to task over it is because aurum items or boosters all attributed towards sp generation rate either directly or indirectly.
In the end CCP showed its doesn't have to answer its customers, which is how EvE used to be run. I had hoped for better but I have tempered my expectations going forward
This is a whole other topic and I don't want to derail this thread but c'mon man. Seriously?
They never lied about being in Commercial Release. Some random GM said that in a support e-mail or something. But in the weeks leading up to that there were numerous references to going into open BETA made by the Devs. The game still said BETA at the top.
One support person made an obvious mistake. You going to sit here and tell me you honestly had no idea that support people usually have no idea what they are talking about? This is the first time in the history of the internet that support has been completely clueless as to what was actually going on and they started talking out of their ass?
And they changed the merc pack because it wasn't correct anymore since they changed their minds about having a reset when the game released. And what? Those things change all the time. Especially when it has to do with software that isn't even finished.
CCP handled this whole thing about as wrongly as they possibly could but that was it. Seriously their only mistake was taking so long to comment about it. The rest of it is just nonsense. |
