Being able to destroy a tank, but not some weak civilian truck laying around the map really breaks immersion.
Things like roadblocks, boxes, those large truck vehicles on the map, it would be nice if all these things could be destroyed. It would really help make the battlefield feel more believable.
The civilian vehicles can blow up just like battle vehicles and installations, while other less explosive assets can have 3 versions with various levels of damage that they change between as they take more damage.
I would ask for destructible surface infrastructure pieces including the outposts and stuff, but I know that its asking too much for now. |

+1
This irks me quite often.
However, it should be extended beyond the minor. If I can blow chunks of heavily reinforced armor off a tank, why can that concrete wall stand up to my attacks? |

I would like this. However, one day I'm sure that environmental things like boxes and trucks will be removed and replaced with ACTUAL boxes and trucks, with an actual purpose. All is possible with an open-world environment. |

Not needed or necessary this isn't battle field 3 if you like the destroyable objects in that game go play it or call of duty. |

Why because CCP doesn't implement destructible objects? Go play call of duty or battlefield once again if you want destructible objects. |

Lets be honest here destructible objects serve no purpose besides for a pretty little effect and is a waste of CCP's time. |

Eris, you're making yourself seem like an idiot. Last time I checked COD didn't have destructible walls and ****, but it's been a while, and forgive us for wanting something that makes BF an amazing game to play (Imo). Also, telling someone like KAGEHOSHI to go play COD is pretty idiotic, considering 99% of his suggestions are brilliant additions to DUST.
Actually, they serve a purpose. Destructible Environments allow gameplay to change and previously inaccessible routes become accessible, areas without cover now have cover, that sort of thing. You're a tanker right? when trees and fauna come you're going to wish you could destroy them so you could get through. |

In addition, this could lead to intense breaching scenarios and a team thinking they are safe only to find enemies pouring in from a hole they blew through the wall. Destructive environments add strategy as well as realism |

You sir would be wrong, imagine being on line harvest and forge gunning a leg off of the table top then watching all the LAR guys humorously fall to their deaths at the hands of their former prey below. Or using a Remote explosive to punch a man size hole for a team to breach an inner portion of a structure. A HAV shooting through a Conex Box providing temporary shelter to a forge gunner. Destructible environmental's are hardly a novelty.
It would be bad ass if the buildings were destructible but they self repaired over time so Dust would have a mixture of static (buildings/ large structures) and dynamic (Road blocks/ conex boxes) destructible environments. However the production cost of this would be quite high as this is type of map design is not normally done with the unreal engine. |
