Some of the maps on daytime are abnormally bright. I don't know if it's my game or what but every other game seems fine. It's almost blinding. I got killed twice just now because I couldn't see my target, as well as losing a few kills.
Anyone else having this issue? |

Abnormal compared to what? To our everyday life out of the door? I'd say that's part of an alien environment of new eden. Some stars are dimmer, some significantly brighter than our sun.
There's even pseudoscientific info on all the new eden's planets, probably about stars as well.
Which leads me to a suggestion: [SUGGESTION]: Star's color in the database affects the start in the skybox in dust! Simple way of adding more variance to different battlegrounds and perhaps making some manus' peaks out there more recognizable. |

Well, it does make sense that our suits would have a dimmer setting, I mean hell, the rearview mirror in my car automatically dims down if the crackerjack behind me has his brights on. And also if these suits are capable of space combat then they would definately have dimmers for space ventures or else without atmospheric protection the stars probably would be blinding. |

AMEN to that!
And when asked GÇ£compared to what?GÇ¥ I'm talking about the average match in Dust. All maps are daytime but there's just this one map combo that is insanely bright. It's when the ground is sand instead of mud/rock and either the day is brighter than usual or the sand is made from mirrors. |

Are you sure it's not your display autoadjusting the brightness? (Some "dynamic" or "cinema" settings are really crap at this)
I don't have any trouble with maps being too bright or too dark on my display. |

I like being more or less blind once in a while. I like to think that 90% of the time my suit is compensating for climate, but that other 10% I just happen to be fighting on a freakishly bright or dark planet.

I don't have any trouble with maps being too bright or too dark on my display. It's certainly possible although i don't think this is the case. I will have a look at my settings and see if there's any auto adjust that i haven't notices before.
It doesn't happen very often so a response to the test might take a while... |

Well, there is sometimes this thing where my weapon basically shines a bright white from it. That happens just with the weapon, however. I never found the map itself to be too bright/dark. I don't think this is what you are experiencing, though, because like I said, this happens only with the weapon. Nothing else is very bright in these situations. |
