I was just wondering how the community felt about this little topic. If people make multiple mercs and join other corps, does that not effect the loyalty of those that are in it? Consider this:
Merc A is in Corp A, but has two alt mercs. Each of these alts are in different corps, therefore meaning potential threats to your goals. Would you want a teammate fighting with a corp that you potentially may have a battle with? |

It happens. Read about Band of Brothers, the EVE alliance. It's a related story.
In other news, this is how you can get spies into other corporations, to gather intel. Handy, isn't it. |

I dont see how traitors are going to do much in this game, I mean a traitor can always get high rank and steal the corp $ and assets, but most EvE/Dust linked corps will probably keep their cash in EVE, not in dust. But whats a spy gonna do?
" Oh hai, these guys I'm spying on are going to show up in protosuits at the appointed time to defend the district, that is all"
I guess you can go psycho and cost a corp a district after team killing everyone over and over. But so far a district doesn't seem like that big a deal, Oh my I lost 5 million isk, boo hoo, I only have 107,095,000,000 left, woe is me, I should commit suicide, Oh dear, I woke back up... well, lets go kill these suckers the next day and take the district back. |

Daedric, I think the overall gameplan is to merge corps in DUST and EVE fully, as in, you can have DUST members in an EVE corp, and vice versa. This ultimately will mean you can become a director in an alliance (probably not CEO - EVE allows you to do stuff more strategically, so...) and be able to dissolve the alliance from the inside.
You might also be able to sabotage districts, TK at a particular time (e.g. when capping a point, or using a planetary cannon to take out a ship) etc. There's a lot more to it than just taking a corp's money. |

Yea but all that stuff is minor, There isn't any place yet for grand theft. Now if we have like corp fitters and like 1000x protosutis sitting there, now we are talking. But if you TK someone you are gonna get banned, losing a district will net you little funds. The worst I can see right now is ratting about what friendly ships will be in orbit and having a gank squad come in and take them out, but since you will appear on the overview if you are at a district its not like thats not going to happen already.
And if a Dustie becomes a director of a huge EVE alliance, thats just fail funny. |

There are certainly EVE corporations that demand that all of their members' alts be in the same corp/alliance.
I'm not a huge fan of it, but I understand the reasons. |

Thanks to you all that have responded so far. It is interesting to see where people stand on it. I know some of the implications of doing this may be small, at the moment, but who is to say it can't be bigger later? I was talking to one person about this and also so another post where peeps were having trouble with their corps because they couldn't get their mercs to stick with one team to grow better as a team or that they had a corp full of placeholders that didn't play within the corp that they joined. |
