Okay, one, unless your trying to chat in corp or a channel, you don't need a UVT. Two, the thing costs a dollar, so why is your friends complaining? They completly broke or something? Three, CCP has to make it costs, because their using software from another company to have viop in the game in the first place. Therefore, they made basic combat chat free, and advanced corp and channel chat at a cost. Why you complaining? |

Actually, in-battle comms are handled within PSN. They don't put our squad and team chat through the third-party system because that would cost, and would in turn require payment. Corp chat and private channels, by their nature, are built to allow cross-game communication from DUST to EVE (and vice versa), and that requires access to the third-party VOIP client used by EVE Online. That's why we pay, because that money isn't going (entirely) to CCP, it's funding the cost of them actually providing that additional service beyond what's built into PSN. |

there is already voice chat for psn and squad so WHY should i pay 1 $ to talk on my corp channel?
more money milking thats why

Read my post above yours.
Corp voice is tied into EVE voice, which is run through a third party, while squad and team chat in battle is run directly within PSN. |
