A passive module that would reveal it's presence upon hacking. Self destruct: explodes and kills the red hacker after succesful hack. Different model could wait for more reds taking seats before exploding. After it the vehicle is gone...
Poison: works as the selfdestruct model but takes care for red mercs only allowing for vehicle rehack and reuse. Different models could also have more than one charge to allow poisoning more than once before rehack.
Both types could use some additional skill or existing one.
Can't see any problems with balancing right now...
Any comments ppl?

LT apparition wrote:i don't believe this is practical... and should not be implemented... mainly based on the fact.. most, and myself destroy vehicles... (War Point Signs in out eyes).. plus poison? does that make any sense.. ? i mean the Self-Destruct would be cool but i think it would be abused out the bum... but back to poison... if our suits are designed to help use survive in space, and in combat for the harshest of conditions... why, and what would poison do to us mercs... plus if you try and rebuttal ... there would be an air filtration system that would expel harsh or hazardous compounds...
Oh if the hack was complete the asset would belong to the enemy so.. blowing it up would screw with the IFF signals to trigger it.. so it would only be useable if the asset is still under your command. If your module kills mercs you get WP as well. The module should not be integrated into vehicles LAN. This way it can't be hacked but you can't give it commands neither. It works on it's own but on your behalf. So you get WP for it's feats. And WP for destroying vehicle too.
Poisoning... hmm... what i ment by this was a way to leave the assets intact but eliminate human factor. It could be nova knife like device or scrambler technology. Something that is effective against the mercenary only on close contact. Could be not a insta kill so occupants could gtfo vehicle with their armor and shield depleted.... |

The proposed module allows you to have triple advantage other proxy trap. It cost no time (beside a SP grind. Same for proxy) to setup on the battle field. Just park and go. You can still use the vehicle for troop transport. And when you happen to get out and get shot you can get your little revenge eventually... |

So basically you want remote explosives that are even easier to use and require no thought or interaction aside from just throwing it down on the hack point?
No It requires reds to hack and enter your vehicle. It requires you to grind for ISK & SP to buy skill book, train it and purchase module on the market. Then you have to fit it to your vehicle. When ready you can use the vehicle as usual. Transport troops, run ppl over, do some target practice with your turrets, then leave it. Intentionally or not. It is additional feature. Not a sole purpose as remote explosive. If some reds enter your LAV, HAV, DS then boom or sting or other nasty thing hapens to them...
The difference is you have one equipment slot free for other stuff... plus you have a mobile proxy/remote you can move from place to place and still use as a vehicle... You not happy? |
