Title says it all. At one point I think the warbarges were going to be the EVE ship that physically traveled to planets marked for invasion and it was from there that the MCCs were deployed. But now it seems that we are going to just magically teleport to the planets that we invade.
So my question is this: Are the warbarges not part of the plan anymore? |

this. They will be there eventually, but we can't just put them in the game, it wouldn't work. The foundations need to be setup first or Goons will blow every barge to kingdom come. |

So will we be able to just teleport to planets at launch, but then at some later date they'll just say "sorry, now you need a special $1,000,000 ship :D"
Or do you think will they make invasions not require ships, and move Warbarges into more of a support role, where an EVE player could hover one of these by a planet to provide for re-enforcements and fire down installations?
Or would this work in some other way I haven't even thought of? I'm just trying to figure this out, as launch day is coming much faster than I'd thought and I have always imagined us having more stuff by then :P |

We're talking about a warbarge here, not a measly destroyer. Since the warbarge has to be big enough to house the clones needed to attack/defend, house a descent supply of installations, vehicles, and carry within them MCCs (which are pretty huge already) then the size of the warbarge will be about equal to that of a capital ship or larger like a supercarrier or a dreadnaught I bet.
That said, the price will be pretty big. The MCC alone already costs a little over 100 million ISK. The warbarge will no doubt be in the billions. |

It has been confirmed by CCP that uprising is not the release build. Search the forums and you'll see. I'm not posting a link cuz I don't like lazy people. Find it yourself. Lol. |

Warbarges are coming, may be a few years. There will be builds even after the game is out of beta. CCP's EvE expansions are new builds twice a year. Warbarges will be added in one of these after launch. I think CCP wants to get data on how the pc is working, then expand it, get more data, before adding warbarges.
Also, the MCC will be user driven, I would guess that would be added before the warbarge.
The current clone movement cost is probably meant to represent npc warbarge rental for transport.
The last Dev comment I saw on warbarge control said it should probably be EvE controlled. They seemed to have not decided but were leaning that way. They could come up with something else by the time it is added. |

So what I'm gathering is that this game is NOT coming out next month, or probably even the month after that, as I thought I heard somewhere? (granted I think I may have heard that somewhere on the forums, so that could explain my confusion :P).

Yeah, I find it highly unlikely that an MCC will cost as much as one of my 800 meter long battleships.
It could happen, but good lord, why would it?
I'm figuring a mil or two for the basic model. |

Warbarge?
That's where your Precision Strike comes from.
At the moment, that and the pre-battle lobby are all the Warbarge does. Will probably stay that way as long as we stick to LowSec.
I think Warbarges will only be a thing in NullSec, based on the way PC is going to work in its first iteration. |

Your battleship is spacelocked and incapable of atmospheric flight.
The MCC does not have this issue due to advanced technology.

You actually almost made me have a moment of rage. Well played.
If others want to pay it, so be it. This game will crash and burn before I send 100M on something like an MCC.
UNLESS...
You let me fly it around during a dust match and let me drop orbital strikes from point blank every 15-20 seconds from each module slot. Then I will pay your 100M and also laugh maniacally. MUahahahahahaha. |
