Yah. Pub stomping is boring and lame for most of the guys who do it too. I usually roll with my corp, but it's not fun when the enemy gets red lined in the first few minutes of a match. It is more fun to play with friends, and every once in awhile we get some good matches in. Sometimes people are lame and go all-out (I had a game tonight where the other side was using officer gear 0_0) btw officer is better than proto... But most of the time we can just stick to STD or MLT and have some fun matches.
Sometimes we queue sync against each other too. That way we have one of our teams on each side. It makes it a lot more fun. I'm sure that the solo players enjoy having decent squads on both sides too. For the most part, they can run around and do their thing and solo fight other players on different parts of the map.
Hazzah Manacella wrote:If they want to coordinate and be in a group like that they should have to wait longer so they play against a equally matched team.
Meh, I don't want to wait long periods of time just because I'm grouped up with people who are fun to play with. I think it would work just fine if the game paired up squads first, then filled the additional spaces with solo players. Although the game would have to wait until there are two squads so it can put both on one side.
The other problem is that sometimes a squad of people does not want to play another squad from the big name corps. What happens is the game seems to get two squads that are probably around the same stats, but one squad from one corp sees who they are fighting, and just backs out of the match. After that happens, those spots that had a squad are just filled up with solo players.
Hazzah Manacella wrote:The only people I hear asking for a squad are people who sound like 10-12 year old kids. No thanks, just hearing them speak grates my ears.
lol, I heard some guy watching elephant pornography on the discovery channel.
I suggest playing Skirmish. There's a bug right now in skirmish. If one of the MCCs blows up, your kills and deaths are not recorded, so it does not change your KDR. Your KDR will change if one side gets cloned, but that doesn't happen as much as the MCC blowing up does.
I wouldn't leave matches once you're part way through them. Just hide, or play support for a bit. Winning or losing does not change how much SP and ISK you earn. |

Oh also, if you're in ambush and the enemy is camping the only spawn point, hit square instead of x. You'll spawn randomly like usual.
Also, grab some drop uplinks. They help a lot.
And joining a corp helps a lot too. You can learn a lot in corps.
edit: there are some corps that are training corps only. You can join them and play with peeps there, and it is expected that you will leave and join another corp at some point. Training corps are like NPC corps in terms of what it looks like on your "record". Staying in a training corp and moving on is not corp hopping at all. |
