In Pub rooms, I tend to run STD gear on my Heavy, Type II suit, STD HMG. Invariably I'll run into the tryhards running proto gear in the pubbies, wearing their black suits, and this will force me to switch to my ADV Type A with an MH82 to combat them.
In one such match I went 38-10. I didn't think the 10 losses would be that big a deal as I was going against no less than 5 guys in proto gear and they were using killswtiches etc and figured that killing them would help off set my losses. I knew I probably wasn't going to make money considering that I was running 74-98K suits for the remainder of the game. But at least I'd be getting somewhere in the neighborhood of 400K, so if i died 7 or 8 times (by this time I had died like 3 times using my baseline gear which doesn't cost all that much), it wasn't going to be a huge loss.
Nope.
Got less than I usually make going 18ish and 2ish. Like sub 250k.
What's up with that?
If the Aurum Gear is not paying out at the end of the game like Proto Gear...that's a ******* problem. In order to compete with the guys in the Aurum gear, you have to yourself, step up in gear choice most times. So if they kill you, they reap the ISK rewards, however, if you kill them, because they are using Aurum gear, you get zero? Because that's how it seems.
If this is the case, that's not an imbalance, that's inequity. That's not a case of HTFU,...that's F'ng broken. |

Ha, easy to imagine bug... payout based on value of 150 (aur) or 0 (isk) instead of comparable gear prices. |

I've noticed this as well.
Its even worse when its Aurum tanks, cause killing tanks usually gives you a decent payout, and then 4 tanks later and your payout is like... 180k.
Hopefully this is fixed in Uprising. |

I remember when those suits first hit the market a team was running a ton of AUR proto heavies and I got over 600k that match. Weird. |

They can't fix it if they don't know about it....or if they know about it and thought it was "ok"....which would be wrong. It's not OK. |

Well I wish I knew the answer that is for certain. Nobody I squad with knows either. They constantly get excited about the payout they are certain they are going to get. Only to be disappointed by some average or less result for ISK.
I don't have that high an average for ISK. I run Logi Bro a lot and unless I drop my HAV or do Gunning for another HAV the rewards are inconsistent. Even with a HAV I cannot even guess what the ISK might be.
I finished a match Apr 8 and got 290K while Corp mates doing better (in my opinion) got lower than myself.
Some hint would be good. If Proto gear doesn't increase the value maybe it isn't worth chasing them down. Some of my squad mates hunt them down like they hunt HAVs. Partly because of the supposed ISK payout. |

One more hint... you kill it? (proto/aurum dropsuit). They are precious .. so more often ppl rise them.
At end of match you decent K/D... but this is not form great salvage. At time of HK event.. we kill a lot of ppl in proto. There was a lot of isk. |

@OP, assuming CCP Eterne didn't raise any alarms over on their end, because the post simply says "moved," maybe you should change the subject to start with the "[BUG]" flag? I don't know, but it might be more likely to catch a dev's attention that way.
I hadn't thought about this aspect of the ISK rewards, but I do think you're on to something here. Seems like my buddies and I have been seeing much more frequent lower-than-expected ISK payouts for matches. I had a somethingteen-and-zero match yesterday, where I know I killed at least a couple of guys in PRO gear, and got something like 180k. Would've been fine if I did it in MLT and STD stuff, but I had dropped more than 200k ISK on two particular deaths alone. Heh. I suppose I ought to have done like so many other (non) players, and took to the hills or cowered in the MCC, but that's boring.
If you're right about this, and I think you might be, I hope it gets fixed PDQ. |

I have also noticed this. It does appear that people losing AUR suits does not go to my funds at the end. CCP please fix this. It is not fair to the guys actually running isk proto suits to try and stay up there with the guys who can spend real money. |

I pointed a dev at this thread but he said in IRC that there is ISK payout for AUR gear.
The lack of post may be because he hasn't made it here yet or maybe needs more info, who knows? Devs work in mysterious ways. |

I'm still seeing this as a problem. A detailed breakdown of the math, formula, voodoo, whatever for the payout and salvage (I never get any cool salvage) would be nice.
Speaking of salvage, and to totally derail my own thread...what's up with never getting any salvage the class you run? On my heavy all I get is anything BUT heavy and on my logi all I get is heavy gear. |

This isn't pay to win. It's pay to play.
This is working as intended. CCP is nerfing the ISK drops while keeping the prices of most things exceedingly high to encourage us to continuously funnel $ into this game.
You are going to be seeing the Aurum tanks more often than normal tanks now because an Aurum tank cost about $.25 -$.50 each and yet a non aurum tank will take you about an hour of running free suits to earn enough to afford 1 build. This is also why you see a lot of 'killswitch' or other aurum protogear instead of normal proto because 80 aurum = .04 cents. |

Way to completely miss the point of the post.
If I run into AUR Proto gear, it doesn't seem like I'm getting the same payout for killing them as it would for killing the same ISK Proto Gear. I'm still risking my higher end ISK gear to combat both, yet only one is a payout for me killing them.
This would be an inequity. And if it's by design then any faith I have in CCP as being a level headed company and this game not being pay to win just completely went out the door. |

Are you sure it was PRO gear? Some of the BPO suits are darker than others and could look similar to the proto suits. I noticed something this week, if you kill a few proto suit with all blueprint gear you still get a very nice payout (300k+ for 2 proto kills).

No reply guys? Can't you tell me I'm wrong...or yes I'm right but Uprising will fix it?
Happened again today, went up against no less than 4 proto suits, killed them a few times here in there in addition to other red dots....pay out wasn't there at the end.
This heavy is tired of losing ISK in matches that he should be breaking even or possibly making money in. |

I just got out of a game against 7 guys using all Black suits and killswitches etc....I went 16/8, prolly spent close to 500K...got paid 175K. And I took at least three or four hacks.
CCP, what is going on here? Where is the response? If you're fixing it in uprising cool, just let me know so I can quit whining about it. |
