As the title says for some reason the first person who tries to take a teammates spawner will not actually be spawned on the drop uplink, but will spawn randomly as if they hit square. Easy to recreate. We thought it might be because we were dead before the spawner was dropped, but that wasn't it. We thought your first life of the match couldn't take a spawn point, but that isn't true either. It would seem like it is simply the first person who tries to take the uplink that doesn't get spawned in the right place.

You might have bumped into a slightly different bug versus an actual uplink problem.
Occasionally the Spawn UI will let you select a spawn site but will drop you somewhere else. Additionally you could well be in the wrong Suit to make it even more hilarious. Humor aside, when selecting a spawn site you have to give some places a little time to connect to.
For instance, Skim Junction Skirmish has a CRU that doesn't go live immediately. It takes a few seconds before you can select it.
The bug I believe you might have run into is that the UI seems to have a problem with what you have selected versus what it thinks you have selected. Add to that the possibility that it won't let you cancel can make the problem worse.
If this repeats you might update this with the Type of Uplink and more information regarding Battle Type, Map, etc. so we can apply our collective ... whatever Forums use for minds to a solution. |

I run into this problem almost every time I drop an uplink, or use someone else's. the first or maybe second person who attempts to spawn on an uplink that shows up as blue, regardless if I wait 5 seconds or 30 at the screen, I don't get spawned there. When being destroyed on ambush matches by hordes an uplink is essential to avoid unnecessary stupid spawn deaths. |
