Hello Dusters, I am Charizard Zakalwe, Detective Chief Inspector of His Majesty's Imperial Immobile Infantry Internal Investigatory Commission.
I am writing this post to you today to talk about a growing a concern, going by a number of recent threads. That of teamkilling. There seems to have been numerous cases of accusations against Immobile Infantry members teamkilling throughout games. I would like to address these accusations and general concerns, as well as provide a general guide on how to deal with someone on your team teamkilling. We take these accusations very seriously, and don't want any bad eggs to soil the image of the Immobile Infantry. If any player is found guilty of team killing, they'll be removed from the Corp and we will do our best to keep them out of any blue corp.
First of all, if you would like to report any given member of Immobile Infantry for teamkilling you, please provide a detailed description of what happened here. Map, game mode, time of day, names of all the parties involved, your fittings/vehicle fittings, and just what was going on in the game when these killings occurred. There are currently talks amongst the top brass about issuing some reparations to injured parties, assuming guilt can suitably be proven and values of the lost fittings adequeately established, but I make no promises at this time.
Additionally, the more corroborating reports we get, the quicker and more accurately we'll be able to investigate claims. Please get your friends, corp mates, and any other witnesses to post as well. When you post a claim, you'll be given a case ID #, keep it handy and have your witnesses include it in their posts. If you ever need to ask anyone else about your claims, your case ID # will be of immense help.
(Note: please bear in mind Forum Rules when filing reports. No flaming, or swearing or the like. Please keep it civil.)
The key motivations of a team killer, in my experience, are the following
1) To punish a losing team for a lack of aggression. Most often, your team is losing, members of your team are not providing adequate aggression to take point, kill bad guys, and turn the game around. After they've thrown themselves at the enemy several times, only to have the majority of their teammates stay behind and focus on sniping, they're liable to give up, spawn a free jeep, and run over some blues, either to pass the time or motivate you to move up and get in on the action. Similarly, if you're AFK in the MCC, hoping to just scoop up free points, you're liable to be TK'd so you will be kicked and not get any points.
2) Fun: It's amusing to some people. This player will likely only want to TK you. Your only real option to be aggressive, bringing him closer to the action, where he's more likely to be killed reds than kill blues. If he's focusing on killing you, lead him to a regular fight, where his options are limited to fighting reds or dying. You'll make him more useful.
I'll be making more a proper guide to handle these things soon. |

More over, even if he did TK after these rules went into effect (And you certainly can't punish someone for doing something before it was against the rules), there is a clearly defined process for this thread.
You must file a claim, here, in this thread. This claim will contain the name of any and all Immobile Infantry members involved in your claim. You must provide a detailed account of what happened. You must provide a detailed account of what you lost. Fittings, vehicle fits, their costs and the total number you lost. A final Isk/Aur sum is required. While there are talks to pay out reparations if guilt and value can be adequately determined, we can't pay out for him destroying a free fit or a fit off all BPO's or something. You will then be given a case number. Keep track of this number. Ask any and all witness present to provide corroborating testimony. Give them your case number so we can keep things organized. I, and my investigatory squadron will then look into things on our end, as someone will probably be happily bragging about it later. Most investigator's identities will remain anonymous, as no one will is going to want to talk to a narc. Then, if guilt is established, they will be removed from the corp, blacklisted amongst us and our allies, and we will generally warn any future corp who may take them in of their team-killy nature.
Even if the event in question already happened, please, tell us about it. It may help us isolate and track any potential offenders, so we can more closely observe and handle the problem.
And, again, people, please, PLEASE, observe all forum rules when posting in this thread. It may be a touchy subject, especially if you come here straight after a match, but I don't want you to get suspended because you were trying to do the right thing. |

So are you going to shoot reds on sight? Because people already doing that. Or are you going to TK II members simply for existing? Seems counterproductive and hypocritical if you're against our members from some past TK'ing. |

I don't want to be insulting, but you really need to work on your reading comprehension. Faux outrage or no, this just doesn't make sense. |
