Since you asked, I like lasers. I want mine to be red though. Skilled into a viziam earlier tonight. An it's chuffing awesome! Even better than the last build. Melts militia instantly. Even takes chunks out of militia tanks.

Downside is it's useless below 30 meters range. Resort to use smg at close range which is a major disadvantage against a capable AR user.

With the New skill tree coming, the laser won't have the same impact it does now.

I can see why people think it's OP but I'll always get more kills using a duvolle AR than a viziam LR on any map. So I don't think it's the instant win everyone makes it out to be.

except for the part where if you actually read the description of the gun, it is not the heat build up on the target that makes it more powerful, it is the heat build up within the gun itself, so it makes perfect sense to fire it for a bit(warming up) then focus the full blast on an unsuspecting victim.

Just in case reading that hurt your head, when you begin firing the beam is slightly scattered(A big no-no for lasers, real or fictional) as you continue, the heat build up in the gun causes the scatter to reduce thereby making the beam seem like it gains in power, but in reality, it has simply warmed to an optimal temperature for operation so it's maximum power is actually just normal operating temperature for the system.

it isn't butt hurt, it's just that proper spelling and grammar are very simple concepts that even a 7 year old can grasp. Well, that and people who are actually smart know how to articulate their ideas using proper spelling and grammar as to be taken seriously by their peers. You don't, and aren't.

Thedeathnote isn't a bad player or person. Just a bit misguided. He just wants to beat you fair and square. AR vs. AR. Straight up aiming a milisecond faster. Which is fine... except this game is intended to be deeper than that.

Personally I use the MD because I think that it is rigged. I don't care about being a better player than anyone else, I think that if I make better choices with my build that it is equally as valid as having better aim.

And this game would suck if I was aiming down scope trying to kill people. Lets be honest... Trying to make a small adjustment on a DS3 controller makes the limitations of the game in it's current state odvious. It is nowhere near as smooth as CoD. As a straight up shooter this game is inferior. With the MD I don't run into this issue as much. I can use strafe to make my shots more accurate, which is a great deal better than trying to move the right stick.

For some strange reason they decided to tie the DS3 aiming to the PS move limitations. This was a poor choice. Motion capture devices do not work as well as controllers or mice. They should be implemented as a novelty, not as the baseline. Until the technology catches up with analog input, CCP should not be basing their gameplay on some sideshow PS move controller(I make these assumptions based on the PS move deadzone settings) that at the moment can't compete with the standard control scheme for every other FPS.

Sidetracked... But this is the real issue with the game. If I could aim down scope and make fine adjustments like I would be able to in any true FPS, I would live in thedeathnote's world. But that isn't the state of the game. And all the other complaints he has stem back to the real probem with the game... which is that even if he shoots better, he is going to lose because of game mechanics.
