I think Dust University should be made into a corp that newbs are instantly put into.
Almost agree, But we would be happy for corps that have blueberrys that want to join, but arn't quite on their level, simply send them to us. We are here to educate them and send them out to the corps to help them TAKE OVER THE WORLD. |

Even Eve Online has starting tutorials. I think its easy enough for Dust 514 to have the same.
There is nothing "wrong" with helping new players as a lot of people on the forums think. |

If you can't figure out what's up after seeing the Skills, Market, and Fitting windows.... GG
All the info is right there between those windows if you take the time to press Triangle once in awhile. The forums and corp can help, but really the game can only throw so much optional windows at you to pass up.
edit:
Think about it. When's the last to you Read the Manual to anything? RTFM ever been a term you had to tell someone? The entire merc room is one big text based tutorial... the only way to make it more obvious is to restrict a player from joining a real match without completing some lame simplified test match against something.
I wouldn't ask for a manual. The last thing a new player wants to do is read a block of text. Either video, or create training missions.
Honestly though no one knows what is coming on the 6th (not exactly anyway) so we might as well see what they have. |

You'll fast lose your playerbase if you hold that opinion, besides nobody is making them get better at the game, the games only educating the players on how to play it.
