Have a few questions about logistics in this game. If anyone has a guide or a good read about it instead of answering questions that would be cool too.
1. What is the preferred logistic type (shield / armor)? Is it just preference?
2. Do shield and repair tools run out of ammo?
3. Is there a bonus other than slot layout for wearing a logistic suit? ( Playing eve i know ships get bonus's to healing amount / speed ect) I also noticed that the 'Sever' type one is one of the top sellers so there has to be a reason.
4. I could not find a 'heat sink' like mod to improve the amount i healed for tools. Is there one or should i just use health buffer or whatnot in low slots?
5. Playing as a medic i have no clue how to revive people. I stand over players with the Injector and have hit pretty much every button so far with no luck.
Any questions answered would be greatly appreciated!
Bonus question. I keep seeing people shoot long range with a gun that almost looks like a sustainable laser beam. Anyone know what gun this is?

1)preference really, but dual tanking is advisable if you don't mind a slight speed loss 2)there's only an armour repair tool and no 3)Not at this point, though it looks like suits are gonna get passive bonuses next build. And the sever is a top seller because its a standard BPO suit 4)no mods to improve equipment usage right now, what you fit is entirely your choice as to what role you want to play as a logi, though it may be advisable to fit a armour module in one of your low slots so you stay alive longer. 5)Hit R1 when the prompt appears on the screen, and you can only pick up those with the revive icon above them 6)laser rifle, its an awesome mid to long range weapon, so crap at close quarters though you'll have more luck melee'ing people than shooting them with it |

In your bonus question you are probably referring to the laser rifle. The laser rifle is a light weapon that does basicly what you would expect a realistic laser rifle to do. |

had that happen once in my HMG fit. it was funny. I then cut him in half with a burst of fire. |

I have actually done that once, guy came at me with an AR got me down to half armour then ran out of ammo, he started to reload i charged him, hit him twice and he was down. such an utter fail on the AR guys part. |

Actually, a few levels in hand-to-hand combat isn't a bad idea if you run logistics. |

This should really be moved to the training grounds, but here's a good idea of what I do to be a successful logi:
First of all, speed is your friend. Being able to keep up with your allies is always a good thing, and getting to someone before they die is better. You can skill into sprint mods or just skill into the better logi suits for more speed bonuses.
If you plan on being a full time logi, get the A series suit RIGHT AWAY. You have 3 high and low slots as well as a ton more pg/cpu to fit modules with.
Shields are better for a logi in the beginning, but armor repairers are almost mandatory! Always have one on you. If you're the logi on the team you don't want to have to find someone else to come repair you. Later down the road you can fit armor modules to the faster logi suits and still be faster than an assault class.
Always have a nanohive. You don't have a sidearm, and not having ammo will be the death of you (literally)
If your team starts getting slaughtered, there is NOTHING you can do unless you have a prototype repair tool, a triage nanohive, or a smart heavy. Run away and find where the team is spawning so you can keep everyone healthy from there instead of trying to heal the one or two players with you.
Your gun is more effective than your repair tool. Sadly, this is the hardest truth to deal with as a logi. Your repair tool does wonders, but think about this scenario: You're with an assault class and another player engages you. Rather than hide behind the assault who might be able to take out the other player, fight alongside your teammate and kill the enemy quicker, then repair his armor afterwards. Doing this will save you and your teammates from death. On top of that, you will get more points by getting an assist or a kill alongside the logi bonuses. |
