The av is fine. We now need antitank gear.
The problem with the current stuff is firing time. Spool time on the forge gun and locking time on the swarmer is too long. Most of the tank fights against infantry happen at point blank, and you really don't have time to get a lock on anything before you explode into little ribbons of meat. To top it off, the damage they do isn't really that good anyway. Now, yes, av grenades are quick, but not enough punch to do more than annoy a tank, unless you have 5 guys grenading it at the same time.
The problem is particularly bad for ambush games where two tanks can basically spawn camp by chasing you around the map as you spawn.
I suggest a simple, dumb fire weapon. It would be short range, single shot, low ammo capacity, but high as **** damage.
I don't want something that makes tanks obsolete, but something that would "encourage" the driver to back off and give the infantry a fighting chance when there are two or more high level tanks. As it stands right now, there really isn't a point in staying in one of those matches if you happen to be on the wrong side. |

The lock on and charge time are both Skill Tree functions. They can both be reduced by committing SP to them. Which will cause HAV drivers to post on these Forums that both weapons have been buffed by the Devs without telling anyone. Good times.
I haven't seen it. Also, at times, I don't have 2.5 seconds, because this happens after I have to turn around and find the bloody tank before I shoot it. Then, I have 2.5 seconds before I can fire on it.
In the mean time, I don't have a giant butt ton of sp invested into either of these weapons, with forge guns being the more skill intensive ones. Until I do, I can't do jack **** about these tanks. I also can't spawn away from them either, so I just end up spawning in the killing zone.
10 seconds is great, except I am usually dead in about 4. This assumes the tank is static. They never are, they are usually busy using cover, and hunting down infantry.

Ok, what I really want is dumb fire av that isn't too abusable, because I die too quick to lock/ spool
