Seriously developers, having SPRINT on the L3 setting is unplayable for me. Everytime I turn to aim at someone I trigger the run mode and stop shooting for a second, just long enough for someone to get the jump on me. Very frustrating. And if something is frustrating, it's not fun. This is why I walked away at the beginning of the year, and why I'm walking away until this is rectified. If it ever will be.
(I suppose now I'll get a slew of "Get Out", "Bye", "See ya" and "Get Better" comments by the inept social miscreants of the community who are Oh-So-Tough behind their keyboayds.)
Intresting, so you can't play any other shooter as well, because sprint on L3 is just regular.
I understand that you are frustrated about not being able to change the controls. But if you try to step back from Dust, keep checking out the forums so you see which changes are actually going on and you would have known we have a new build "uprising" coming out on the 6th of may, which might have the changes you want included. I am not sure about that right now.
This last passage is just ridicoulus, you can't blame people for telling the truth.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron default sprint button: L2. Red Faction: Guerrilla and Armageddon: L2. There are a LOT of shooters where L3 isn't the default sprint button. It's a common default, but it's not universal.
That's true but it's very common, I didn't play any of the games mentioned, unless Brink, but this just on PC and it was a quiet worse experience, another lost 50 bucks ;)

It has some great ideas, and did some of them justice, it just didn't all come together quite the way it should have, and some of the "innovation" looked suspiciously like "stupidity" would have been a more accurate term. Lack of lobby or party system being a perfect example. "We're making a competitive FPS based around teamwork and clan play.... but even if you want to start a private match, you have to start the game alone then send out invites one by one. NO LOBBY INNOVATION!"
yeah and the public mathces you could join were also just a bunch of blueberries running confused around the map, running on wals, and stuff like had. It had nice ideas but I think it died also very fast. I just played it for 1 or 2 weeks. |
