Ambush OMS is already 80% more vehicle free than regular Ambush. Also, militia only games would keep people from wanting to progress. Kind of takes the point out of the game |

OP don't stress about the folks that go to public matches pushing proto gear all the time...
You don't need a game mode to get away from them. Just go out of your way to kill them.
Apparently, they got something to prove... to themselves I guess.
Shoot one of them, ANY of them, in the head with a MLT-AR, kill them, and you'll make them rage and feel stupid. "I got killed by a militia assault rifle! it needs to get NERRRRRRRFED!!!"
Kill anyone running proto like 3 or 4 times, and he's already losing money. Proto-stomping is boring and old, and if you happen to get killed in a public match because you ran it, you then need to spend the next couple matches or so earning your cash back.
Better yet, headshot a proto-stomper with a militia sniper rifle, they love that. ^.~ |

Pauses Tombraider:
And what is the point?? Right now its newberries going ZERO and 15 deaths to folks running all proto.
If this goes on then the playerbase will never expand and it gets very boring killing the same tags game after game after game after ....yawn.
Too bored with things as they are to log in today to Dust. Maybe on Wednesday or Thursday??
Back to playing Tombraider.

I use forge guns to do it, the dire sentinel class has proven fanstastic for dealing with proto's |

SP-based matchmaking, with a cap where anything above 7 million (just a random number pulled from a kitten's top hat) stops counting.
So if you have 120 million SP, the game will match you with other players in the 7 million+ bracket.
Also, individual rewards from battle should be tied to the value of gear the enemy is losing, so knowingly going into battle against Militia gear with Prototype gear will ALWAYS be a losing proposition when you're dying even once. |

I'm pretty sure this is actually how it is, I could be wrong.
I've see alot of good ideas about helping blueberries. So far the ones I like the best are No Proto in Pub matches and like the under 1M SP training ground where super green players get a buffer, but its a small one. |

This needs to happen. I've had several friends and family members try out DUST, get facestomped by Proto players in all their matches then quit saying the game just isn't fun. That's 5 customers you lost CCP.
Either:
A. Militia / Standard limit.
B: Match type that only allows you to fit up to a combined meta level of 10 across all your gear.
- This is new player friendly. - Still allows gear progression. - Players can try out new fits in a more balanced setting. - Helps with player retention. |

Because, as has been said, it's to help new players, not let those with 7mil + SP stomp on those people trying to get the hang of it. Why do you keep missing that point? I never said replace the Ambush we have now with this, either.

hm....militia gear only as well as everyone, while in battle, has ZERO skills pts in anything. This was, noobs can learn to playand gain SP. The vets, not wanting to give up their proto advantage, would stay out, thus, ending pub stomps of SUPER SCRUBS and making less new players rage quit. |
