Only Heavy Weapon Sharpshooter confirmed to make that difference.
Devs have said in the podcast that AR Sharpshooter is a separate skill, which implies other Light Weapons will have their own Sharpshooter skill. |

Without it, HMGs and Forge Guns will both need a range buff to be viable at higher levels. |

I've been thinking a lot about this, and I have 2 problems with the skills shown:
1. The only Light Dropsuits are Minmatar and Gallente. 2. The only Heavy Dropsuits are Amarr.
Caldari and Amarr players have no Scout or equivalent that ties to either their own race or their traditional ally.
Gallente and Minmatar are without a Heavy suit from their own or their allies' manufaturers. And this in spite of Minmatar building a Heavy Weapon.
Hoping there's more than we've seen here. |

So even if you did lose a 2 million ISK tank, I can almost guarantee that your tank did more ISK damage to my team than we did to you, unless we we're all using militia fits of course.
Edit: The sad part is that I do think tanks are slightly UP, but since they can be called into Ambush, where they're pretty much guaranteed to have very little opposition, they can suck it. Assuming everyone on your team is running similar fittings to your own, worth about 75,000 ISK, that means the tank needs 26 kills to match its 2 million ISK value.
A decent cheaply-fitted Sica can get 3 kills to pay for itself by this logic. |
