I bought an A4Tech Oscar x705 mouse as it had 2000 DPI. But after trying to play with in, it was slower than a sweex mouse that costs like 5 bucks and I believe it could be at max, half the DPI. Why is that? oh, and it moves faster than the cheap one on the PC. |

No idea, I had mouse problems until I went into the PS settings and changed the mouse speed to fast, then I had to turn the in game settings to the minimum sense. |

Just a guess, but if the mouse controls the DPI through software (in Windows drivers), it would not apply to PS3 |

Im running a logitech g500 gaming mouse that also has onboard memory, when first used on my ps3 it was slow as slow. The dpi is adjusted on pc and then saved to the mouse. You could try plugging it into the pc and checking the dpi setting and saving them to mouse once again. On a side note, i have a mate who is also using a mouse with onboard memory but will only store macros? Not dpi settings, thus making it useless for his ps3.
I hope this helps and you can get it running to your likening.
Quick tip: set a button on the mouse for grenades, as this is a complete nightmare if your trying to strafe, move forward or back and throw a grenade. |

Have you plugged it into a computer at all? maybe it needs to have the drivers downloaded to make the buttons on the mouse work? |

It came with a software to map buttons, change DPI levels and macros. Don't think that a driver should be somewhere. Still, I can see my cursor on my PC moving twice the speed of the old mouse but in game it cannot do a 180 with one sweep. |

Using a R.A.T 7, and really it comes down to having on-mouse logic that controls the interpretation of the DPI, not driver/software.
Get a better mouse, lol. |

i just checked my G500 settings, its currently set at 5 intervals 2900 - 5700dpi (i use it at 5700)
Rasatsu has a R.A.T 7 that has a max dpi of 6400
sorry to say this but i have a feeling that your mouse at 2000dpi just may not be enough. |

I'll just use my old mouse and use the new one for my laptop. Shame though - it had very nice features. But my cheap mouse can do CS like turns xD. |

If you turn the mouse settings up in game the scroll speed is slower. Try turning your mouse speed down to 10. |

I gave it back and bought logitech mX performance which is according to forums have problems but mX performance worked flawlessly.

Weird, i have an a4tech oscar mouse as well, mine is a x-718bk though, and i havn't had any problems with slowness other than having to adjust the DPI via the button on the mouse. Hope you find a solution to your problem. |

Some high-DPI mice let you cheat to circumvent the turn speed cap.
Some don't.
Yours, apparently, is the latter. No idea the reason, but as the saying goes, oh dear how sad never mind. |

Lower the polling rate on your mouse if you have the option. It allows you to circumvent the turning speed restriction if you keep the dpi setting high |
