Not a huge thing, but kind of weird. Unlike the thing I saw reported a week or two ago, where the guy said he couldn't re-like a post he had un-liked, now it just doesn't do much of anything.
Reloaded the page, restarted the browser, logged out and back in, still can't +1 posts. Again, it's at worst a minor annoyance, and no big deal, but if anyone knows what's up, or knows some work-around or fix, I'd be interested to know. |

I've got this too and have seen others refer to experiencing the same issue. |

****! And, here I can't even give you a Like for being such a mensch, responding and letting me know it's not just me. Ah, the irony!
I shall try to remember that I owe you a +1 or two. :) |

I was experiencing this problem earlier, but seems fixed now. Was a problem on Chrome, even after logging out and back in, it worked fine on Firefox though. I use "better popup blocker" and "adblock plus", but I always had those extensions active before and never experienced those problems, and the issue seems to have resolved itself for me without me turning those extensions off. |

I use Firefox, running on Linux
Script blockers? Man, have you SEEN the internet recently? Of COURSE I do! NoScript and AdBlock are your friends! ;-)
The only script server that this site tries to run stuff from that I disallow is google-analytics.com. The other two I allow, although sometimes I block ajax.googleapis.com, because those bastards aren't to be trusted. It's the same setup I've always used to access this forum, and had never previously had this problem.
And, for what it's worth, the problem has passed.
I would've chalked it up to some transient issue with my browser, except for the nice folks here reporting that others were having the same issue. I think instead, I'll chalk it up to some transient issue with the web server. :)

Bugs were you seeing this at the time you wrote this post, or just sometime before? |

My experience was totally normal except that clicking the like button did nothing. This happened on two different computers, at two different locations, both running Chrome without plugins. |

Ok, I believe this might have been caused by some hardware failures we were having at our data center, which was causing some interruptions on various services. At least I can't find anything that indicates otherwise. Please come at me bros if you see this happening again, I'll need to launch a full scale investigation then. |

I am using Chrome 26.0.1410.64 m, and for me this happens when the page goes "stale"; I suspect some AJAX code on the page fails if the page is open for too long. Both liking posts and favoriting threads stop working, ie. you can do the action but server does not register it. Shift-reloading the page and doing it again usually fixes this. |
