I searched around the forums for a bunch of different terms for this and didn't find anything. I can't believe no one asked for this yet. The Caldai Prime battle made me think about it.
I would like to see a new form of contract for Planetary Conquest that gives EVE a reason to care. Dust mercs can do FW and just queue for normal battles but for PC you have to be on site to wage the war. Dust corps can setup contracts for EVE pilots to transport their guys from 1 system to another and drop them on another planet to invade. Also that Dust mercs can setup a contract for Isk per bombardment for the drop ship to give OB.
I believe this would be great because
1. it allows a greater degree of interaction between EVE and Dust
2. it also allows for more complex interactions between the sky and land.
3. It also creates a setting where a Ship "Will" be in the sky above the target area so you don't have to wonder if there will be.
4. It also allows fleets to interdict incoming Mercs from stealing their stuff.
5. Lets Dusties sit back and look around in Space at how pretty EvE is. (Have opt out option to just transfer clone if boring)
6. Gives Dusties the ability to actually go to a Station for the walk in station... Even though thats on the backburner.
This is a Dust to EVE money dump, but I think something like this is needed to get EVE interested.

A side thing for this would be for EVE to be able to transfer the Dusties "Jump Clones" or however you would term it.
[Edit]: Would also put Dusties in space so the possibility of invading enemy ships using Boarding Torpedoes would be available. |
