Not sure if this is some unique combination of vehicle / turret / AV / Map but I will outline the information that I know and remember.
The gist of it is that I was a turret gunner for a LAV that was being run by a corpmate. We were obviously running around, running over people, gunning them down, etc. I died twice in the same game by packed av while being a gunner on the LAV. I was not exiting the vehicle and died while in the turret. The vehicle itself took no damage and I died instantly while at full hp.
Some considerations I have been thinking about is that the thrower of the AV nades was on higher terrain throwing down. I believe the AVs that resulted in my instant death were thrown down and at the back of the vehicle.
Map: Manus Peak Ambush
LAV: Guristas Saga
Suit I was running with: Sever Logistics
Killed by: Packed AV
Bug: Packed AV killed me twice while in the turret seat of Guristas Saga. Vehicle took no damage, I lost over 400hp and died instantly

it kills drivers and passengers too, it just does about 500 damage which if your not in a heavy suit u die. |

Yeah I put a bit of SP into LAV's and I have a decent fit that can survive quite a bit of punishment, However all this means is my LAV usually outlives the poor logi in the front seat my hapless passenger and the giant bullseye of a gunner. |

Had a gunner die from packed av while driving one. This seems like a glitch, if the soldier takes damage, it makes not sense that the vehicle would take 0 damage. |

Bug is know.
At same cases passender/driver/gunner (*dropship gunner too)(**due lag and not complete object info) share LAV object info.
I use normal AV and E-XO AV grenade. In rare cases my grenade kills someone who just jump out LAV or just pass by in vehicle. Vehicle dont take any dmg.
Few build ago same cases was with FLUX grenade... that can kill instantly ;) not only drop your shield to 0.
