I am thinking of a cool ship type called the Recon Ship, it would rely on cloaking modules to stay hidden from enemies while using scanners to relay enemy positions to it's allies on the battlefield.
Module types:
Pulse scanner - sends out a pulse wave to find multiple enemies on the battlefield, enemies position are revealed to allies. Enemies can now be seen through walls and on the map to all allies. Less effective the farther you are from the enemy if out of scanning/pulse range enemies position will not be revealed to allies. Concatenated scanner - A concentrated scanner beam that shoots to a designated area if it hits a dropsuit, vehicle, or instillation enemy position will instantly be relayed to entire team. Target painter - Target painter points a red beam to an enemy vehicle or instillation once target is painted swarm launcher can shoot to target with out lock. ECM Module - ECM modules knocks out the locking of any enemy weapon on the field. Cloaking modules - Cloaking modules allows Recon ship to enter cloak mode for a set number of time. It is best to equip 2 cloaking modules as activate one module right after the other to stay cloaked. Modules will stay activate for 60 seconds and cool down for 30 seconds.
Recon Ship:
Caldari type
Hades Recon Ship
1700 shield 400 armor 22 shield recharge per second
3 low slot fittings 3 high slot fittings
no high or low gun slots
over all the recon ship is good for ecming targets, getting around the battlefield undetected, and relaying enemy positions to allys, the recon ship with an afterburner can be used to quickly get around the field. The recon ship however does not posses many effective hit points and relys on it's cloaking systems to stay alive.
Skills:
cloaking last 2% longer per level scanners 3% more effective per level

but a cloaked dropship...? maybe when maps get bigger and their are more people playing. that are bring them now, but make them very expensive.
Yep fragile but relys on cloaks can relay information to allys. |

Sort of but there are not concentrated scanners or ecm modules plus these things can fly with abs and hover over battlefields the scouts can not. |

Sorry, cloaked dropships are broke. Please no... Even though they would be cool. Yeah 2 minutes is a little extreme. Then again, cloak can only interrupt lock on fire and scanners, not dummy fire, but nobody really uses dummy fire on a Dropship. If we implimented Swarm Interruptors (Similar to chaff which breaks a missiles lock on a target and sends it flying out of control) I could see Aerial recon as a viable element to add to the team. You'd probably have to wait for CCP to impliment an updated command structure so Dropships can actually get WP for taxi-ing squads to objectives
This is a representation for the ship not the actual numbers CCP balances stuff how they see fit so there is no need to fear a 2 minute long cloak. |

War points for a scan kill the bigger things your team mate kills the more war points you get you have to scan to enemy first. Kill assist for counter measure usage on the enemy. There are ways. |

i just hate snipers!..
...the only thing snipers do is snipe other snipers and when there no snipers to shoot they annoy the heel out of every1 else..all they do is find hiding spots i have never thought existed...on one map its possible to camp and snipe from the ENEMY MCC!
