We need trading ASAP. It will allow people to play a new role to evolve the meta game and allows players to get rid of unwanted salvage. Thus setting a preliminary price before the market gets merged with EvE. Players and corps will no longer have to struggle for ISK when they can sell or trade tanks and dropships for dropsuits and weapons. Just do it - Nike |

We do need to get some type of buying/selling system in place. I will be selling officer gear and most of my other salvage. I want to see some module and equipment drops also. I use some weapons but most of them are being saved for sell. I figure let the market go live, put some stuff out and make ISK. The real question is when to act. Will you buy/sell the first day or wait for market forces to set the prices after a few weeks of chaos?
Contact me in game with what you have to trade and what you are looking for, I'm pretty sure we can work something out. |

Yes you may have some 100ish dropships or officer items in you assets, but untill you can find a person or multipple that have items to trade in return that you want that are of similar value or enough ISK to make both parties happy, then all those salvaged items are just pixie dust.
You aren't any richer than now, until you actually make that trade.
And then question becomes where is the ISK faucet that is making all the players so filthy rich?
Trading is only a way to redistribute wealth that is already in the system. Some get rich, but some get poor.
Only ISK faucet that I'm aware of currently is mission reward ISK and coming feature of ISK form PC clone selling to NPC corp.
So whats your point? I have stuff I do not want or need and am willing to trade to like minded people. What wrong with that? |

But my post was more to illustrate false premise that trading would be some magic thing that would make us all rich and able to buy all the things. Granted I shoulda kept it in the other thread, but since this thread is basically just the other side of the same coin...
Umm. yea it would actually make us rich if we sold everything. I have ten's of millions in assets and so do many others. |

And that ISK is from that other player. Yes he gets that item, but ISK ammount in the system isn't increasing.
Plenty people will. Please realize the "good" players who do not go negative every match have millions upon millions in the bank. One of our members alone has 110+ milli. Also once ISK transfers occur ISK is meaningless. |

And yes, some players can and will generate sizable ammount of wealth, either by being good or running cheap/free stuff. I'm not in anyway against trading/secondary marketplace, just talking arguing for it's own sake. And because of that above quote just didn't sounded right to my ear. :)
Liquid in the bank not including assets. Some people are good in cheap/free stuff too you know. |

I have just created a fresh alt and it's suprising how easy it is to keep good ISK efficiency and above 1.0 kdr, not that kdr matters, just the deaths. edit: I hate the saying 'negative kdr' for meaning below 1.0. It's not negative.
When you die more than you kill its negative. |
