I have noticed that while using a militia sniper rifle, I can kill almost anybody with 2-3 shots no problem, and I haven't invested anything into snipers. A militia sniper shouldn't do that much damage. |

not just scout suits. I've downed basic heavies and high lvl assualts and logis with the militia sniper, and have been killed in a vk 2 heavy suit with basic shield extenders and basic armor plates. |

Also, Sniper Rifles, even Militia Sniper Rifles, should down enemies in 2-3 shots, because otherwise they would be underpowered as ****. |

been playing all day with the militia Rifle, 3 shots, terrible scope, low rof. The idea that you think they need a nerf is bad. In that case, lazer rifles need nerf, they do lots of damage when they hit you, so do AR's, and shotguns, and heavy chain guns, tanks...... There is also also a counter messure, the sniper is good for taking out unlucky or unaware folk, but tagging moving objects takes a little learning. Also when someone gets to close for the most your screwed.

I suspect that the OP might be a good sniper.
That said the entire picture is not clear. How high is Weaponry? What about Light Weapon Sharp Shooter? And Proficiency? Are there any damage mods being used?
Can you consistently aim at their Head? Probably not, considering several shots.
However Head Shots are almost twice as effective as a Body Shot for damage.
Since the entire range of every single weapon type has had some level of Nerf Hammer being dropped on them, maybe the OP doesn't appreciate how level all the weapons are in respect to their various abilities?
A good sniper can drop almost anybody in any Suit in DUST with proper Skills, mods and abilities. With almost any Sniper Rifle for that matter. As stated, counter sniping is an option and might even be considered a requirement. |

Yeah, militia sniper rifle should fire wooden arrows instead of being a rail gun. And militia nades should be full of hot water. And militia LAV should explode on impact with suits. |

I would love to be able to take a bullet to the face and laugh. In this case a 2 inch (2.0 caliber) metal spike of a bullet going near light speed. It would just make my day. While we're at it, make the militia sniper glow pink. |

Oh look another complaint thread lol. I run out into the open and die horribly, please nerf the guy who shot me.
Come on man. This is still an FPS, ALL guns should kill people and kill people fast. I actually think all sniper rifles should kill with 1 face shot no matter what they are. The only improvement you "should" see as you go up the tiers is better mobility, better scopes, rate of fire and better performance between shots. |

If your adv scout suit doesn't have armor/shield tanking modules, it has the same ehp as a STD scout suit. The only thing that goes up with suit tiers is the number of slots and PG/CPU. |

Please stop with the op threads.
How can you know what skills this player has?
Their DPS May be increased through passive skills, they may be stacking damage mods. There are lots of possibilities.
I myself have a militia BPO sniper fit that I use when my team is outclassed an I don't want to die needlessly. And it isn't OP, I can't one shot skilled players unless it's a headshot.
If your a scout you shouldn't have to worry about snipers cos you should be moving too fast for them to hit you.
There's so much more going on than a weapon having x amount of damage or range, it goes much much deeper than that.
it's just a shame alot of people don't understand the true depth of this game. |

Yes, it's an Advanced suit. It's still a SCOUT. If you're running a Scout, and you're being picked off regularly enough by Snipers that this is a problem, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. Either that, or the Sniper killing you is really, REALLY good at their job.
A Scout's job is to NOT BE SEEN, and to NOT BE SHOT AT BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SEE YOU.
When the enemy sees you, it should either be too late, or they already outplayed you. |

My second player, who gets to cap during the sun-wed shift is a sniper, new, right now I run with no sheild boost or rechargers, just damage mods. TBO most kills I get are either other snipers, or people who are asking for it. NOT unsuspecting but naive. When you see, in the kill log, that the other team has snipers at work, and working well, why in ****** name would you stand clear out in the open, doing a stationary circle/sight seeing in Blackpool UK. Others play very careless, standing still and gunning someone down, winning their battle, but also giving me time plus more time to line up a headshot then shout boom into my mic.
The players I want to kill, move, bounce, weave in and out of cover. Usually I can knock their sheilds out and hope for a kill assist +25.
So rather than "nerf" anything that kills you, how about you pay attention |

This... as a sniper most of the time you are just hurting people, it gets easy to kill someone if they stand in the open, but a good sniper should be able to prevent an entire squad from moving just by damaging them.. i may not kill a lot but i sure as hell suppress a lot. Who is it going to be the sacrifice? Who is the one brave enough to give me a target while his squad carries on their mission? |

Can you read? I said I could kill with no prob, not someone else. I only have weaponry 4 and sharpshooter one, and using the starter fit with no damage mods. Personally, I think the range and scope are fine. The clip is relatively small and so is the RoF, but it still does incredible damage for a militia weapon. Headshots should still be very effective, but 3 bodyshots to a heavy? Come on. |

People...you are in a suit, think of it like body armor ok?....the more armor the better defense you have, still with me so far?? ok good. Head shots are well face it...head shots, when you get hit there you die. if you have enough armor and shields it should keep you alive long enough to either shoot back and kill, retreat or you die cuz you stayed around to get shoot again. the militia sniper rifle is fine, all the weapons are just fine in this game, if you die alot, stop running out there and start looking at your armor on your suits |
