eve is only difficult if you listen to all the nay-sayers. they'll tell you you can't go out to nullsec for the first year. they'll tell you you shouldn't go out to low-sec for the first year, they make it seem like there's a monster living outside of high-sec.
any real gamer who gets into eve online learns to get kills and dominate. |

Honestly in all my time playing eve, I've never heard anybody say that about null sec or low sec. In fact one of the best pieces of advice is to just go and find yourself some fights, you can do it day one, probably won't get anyway but to a medical facility very quickly, but its how you learn.
oh, man. they acted like it was a slaughterhouse out there when i started. i was supposed to be scared of my shadow. it took me about 6 weeks to get my first kill, and it's just been a pogrom since. |

i can have you getting kills in no time, and solo kills in 6 weeks. it's all about understanding combat mechanics, just like any game. |

As long as you fly a ship you can afford to lose, you can't lose. Most basic part of EVE, and too many people forget about it. Yeah, risk vs reward and all, but still; there is always someone out to get you, and the more bling you have on your ship, the more people want to be on your killmail. If you can't replace your ship, don't fly it.
that's very true. you want to fly a ship that no one will run from, and that no one will call in recon for. (or fly a maulus, and then all the recon in the world doesn't matter much)
4000 m/s cap stable with a long point. that's step 2. |
