DUST 411 is a DUST news site in development. We seek to provide regular updates on in-game events, forum politics and DUST 514 development.
We are now soliciting submissions of content. SoonGäó, there will be an ISK payment system in place for contributors, funded by for-ISK ad space on the website, but at present we are only publishing content which is freely submitted.
Anyone can make a submission to DUST 411 by sending their content, in a Microsoft Word document or in the body of an email, to [email protected].
Uncommisioned contributors are advised to suggest a category for their submissions and to strive for objectivity unless submitting an op-ed and calling it such. Simultaneous submissions are accepted but please contact us quickly if your piece is accepted elsewhere. Unsubstantiated speculation, sensationalism and scandal-mongering, etc, will not be published. Contributors are asked not to submit lore explanations for events if these explanations are not canonically supported. Submissions may be edited for accuracy, brevity, clarity and grammar or for legal reasons.
TERMS
1. The important point for you is that you retain copyright in the material. (In these Terms, "material" includes all forms of content such as written, photography, graphic, and - online - audio visual or sound)
2. For its part, DUST 411 has the following rights over the material:-
2.1 the exclusive, worldwide right to first publication;
2.2 the non-exclusive right to publish, syndicate, distribute and exploit the material in all present and future media and formats, including print, electronic, telephony, online and others.
2.3 the non-exclusive right to include the material on any website and in any database, archive or library on- or off-line or in any other present or future media.
3. All the rights detailed above may be exercised by DUST 411 or by others to whom we have licensed these rights. You will note that the rights we get under points 2.2 - 2.3 are non-exclusive so you are also free to exercise these rights yourself.
4. We also reserve the right to choose not to publish your content or to remove your content from the site for any reason.
Contributors will note that apart from the right of first publication, which has to be ours exclusively, all DUST 411's other rights are non-exclusive which means that contributors can also freely exploit the material themselves. Accordingly, freelance contributors should be aware that the Terms set out here are the terms of business that will apply to all material you may provide to us, however supplied: commissioned, sent on spec or whatever.
These Terms will not be varied. The only exception would be in the event that a webmaster of DUST 411 has expressly agreed in writing to a variation of the Terms. If any contributor is not happy with the Terms then they should not offer us any material, or accept any commission from us. Any material supplied to us for publication is deemed to have been supplied in full knowledge and acceptance of these Terms. |

No longer accurate on "Killshot Corp has made good progress in recovering" but I won't rewrite it until I know whether I'm keeping the article at all ;)

Terms have been updated.
Once advertising is in place and payment is possible for content, established contributors will be favoured for commissioned pieces over people whose work I'm unfamiliar with, which is a pretty good reason to start exercising your journalistic muscles. |

I'll keep my eye on this Mithridates. I'm hoping to contribute to the DUST community, specifically in tutorials/new players/PvE, but my writing skills are very lackluster in my opinion. However, you will definitely be my first choice for publishing should I choose to.
I'll also let other people interested in writing articles know about this too. :) |

At present, there really isn't any need, I'm sorry. I'm intending to fill that role once submissions are being made and expect to be able to manage doing so unless there's a sudden spike in submissions. |
