Its got a 3x modifier and is the only skill in the 'Dropsuit Upgrades' section to not have a passive.
I'm thinking, +3% to Sprint Speed per level. |

Agreed. As already stated in other threads, all skills should have some passive component even if it means a passive component built into the item used. |

if you add a speed bonus to that you basically increase the movement speed of all of the suits by a percentage.
is that really neccessary? do we all need to move faster or is it okay where it's at atm? would ccp lower the suit speeds to counteract the skill?
not really for or against the idea.. but this stuff should be considered. i kind of feel the movement speed of the suits atm is fine tho, but i mean i'm not against it. |

Funny....I suggested this a while back and all of the responses were against it and foolish, I might add.
I'm not sure if the skill should go to sprinting, though. It should go to movement, tbh...there is no module or anything that will increase it. I don't understand why the kinetic catalyzer doesn't increase movement speed (new suggestion coming). |

+3% sprint speed? are you joking? that's 15% at level 5. do you know how much faster 15% makes you? no thanks. I'm all for a passive bonus but movement speed is not it. that would be OP as hell. |

1.05 extra meters per second on a standard assault.
Scouts would be slightly more, heavies way less.
2% would be better.
OR lower it to a 1x or 2x cause honestly it's not worth the SP |

Dubbs the reason why people bashed it is because 1. Scouts were op because they moved so fast 2. Because hit detection sucks 3. Lag
And people don't want movement speed because with hit detection, and lag, the increased movement speed would make straffers almost invincible.
Hell the .1 different from the scout and assault is easily noticeable in straff fights. |

The way I thought the Mobility skill would work is this skill would reduce the PG needed for the Kinetic Catilizer. Also unlocking the modules. It then would then unlock a fourth skill in that skill set at level 4, allowing you to learn an "advanced mobility," a X5 skill giving you 3% per level... Again I dont make any decisions. |

This is a good idea. Reduction in PG or CPU with each level increase. if any sort of proficiency skill is going to accompany it, and that skill gives 3% per level, it should be at least 8x. personally I would prefer an extra 1% per level for a total of 5% at level 5. 5% makes a huge difference, especially when there's no fitting requirement for it. |

Mind if I step in and offer my advice? In my opinion, I find it strange that the Mobility skill book has no passive bonuses compared to its companions (Endurance and Vigor). But when I saw the numbers after compiling this analysis I came to the conclusion that the current state of the skill book is ok as it is.
