I had heard about EVE online and an fps with EVE's political intrigue and complicated player driven economy sounded awesome.I decided to try it out, and at first was overhwelmed by all the options and choices. Eventually, I got the hang of it and became a formidable player who valued teamwork with people sometimes twice his age. Even so, I am frequently angered to see comments persecuting younger gamers and corps refusing to except people my age. To me, this is as bad as refusing access to a race or gender, and it must be put to rest agreed actually I need to get my 12 year old sister into this. You're at the perfect age to pick this up and wish I was your age.Halo 1 came out when I was 18 :( before that it was quake and doom :p I'm 30 btw.
thing i love about online anonymity, age, race, creed, it matters not.
all that matters is your capability at the game, and (personally more importantly) your personality |

I always work as a team, play tactically and support my teammates, but since I'm thirteen, I am suddenly inferior there is sadly plenty of evidence to back that assumption up, the last time i played cod (round a friends house btw, i refuse to buy that piece of crap) my ears were ringing from all the high pitched screaming out of the TV.
why i never have a mike on when i play it.
i enjoy a good free-for all occasionally, and world at war is still an amazing game.
the people who play the games though? *mute button ON*

This is especially so if they grew up in a good home and thus don't know how much the world can suck. Patience with required with children, but due to their ignorance can act like they have all the answers, which can be irritating for grown ups. Fortunately, this tends to be corrected with getting older. Racism on the other hand, makes value judgements on individuals on a group identity based on superficial, surface attributes. It's a crude form of collectivism which is used to give one self esteem based on the merits of people who vaguely resemble them while condemning others for not vaguely resembling them. You may be mature for your age, but you're still a kid. All can be considered forms of discrimination, and the only reason you are arguing this is that culturally we are brought up to believe that decisions should be made by the oldest member in a group.
i prefer following the lead of the CRAZIEST member![Lol](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_lol.png) |
