Complex shields takes shield enhancement IV. GET IT!
Grenades have a 5 second fuse. Cook your grenade for at least 3 seconds if you're planning on throwing it close by. You want it to explode right when it get's to your enemy. If they see it hit the ground, most enemies will avoid the explosion.
Flux grenades destroy shields in a huge blast radius. This makes killing assault suits really easy and even makes killing heavies easier.
Heavies have lower accuracy at the beginning of their fire. Take cover and wait for them to stop firing, then poke your head out and aim at their head. Once they start firing at you, don't allow yourself to take damage; it will start to accelerate exponentially. Also, heavies tend to be over confident. Many will follow you into a grenade or remote explosive.
Many people will follow a scout into a remote explosive, period.
Many people won't aggressively close with a shotgun... but you have a sidearm.
A head shot from a scrambler pistol ends most fights. Heavies are real easy to headshot.
When facing a mass driver (a good one), don't hide behind cover. Either advance, or flank, or retreat. MD lose to AR in 1v1. MD also have a hard time hitting you if you just behind the lip of a hill. Don't let the MD get high ground.
Laser Rifles do more damage as they fire, so don't let yourself get caught at the end of the stream of fire running out in the open. When you get hit, take cover immediately and wait for full shields. Most LR users stack damage mods so they are fragile and are used to enemies dying fast. So if you wait a bit behind cover, they will move to a new target. Flank and advance and you can kill them and save your team some serious grief.
Get swarm launcher lvl 1. Shoots 4 shots before needing to be reloaded. Stack damage mods and tanks WILL run from you.
nano hives plus packed AV nades equals death for unwary tanks.
shield regulators decrease the amount of time you have to stay behind cover before you start recharging shields. Ever notice some scouts regaining shields in the middle of a gunfight? Shield regulators.
Shotguns go a eff ton of damage to some pretty impressive ranges. One shot can be one kill. But that is also it's weakness. Get real close and keep moving opposite the way they are tracking their shotgun and you can beat them in cqc.
Forge guns take time to charge but WILL one shot you. Anticipate their shot and jump and you pretty much have a free kill.
Scouts with scanning skills can be dangerous. High levels of dropsuit command (for now) and profile dampening and you won't see him coming. And if he has high levels of scan percision, he can see where you are facing from at least 25 meters away. Nova Knives usually one shot people from behind.
Using militia gear, you can make a lav out of your free BPO that can survive a hit from most AV's. This will make traveling to far objectives or in manus peak much safer and faster.
missiles do 130% damage vs armor...
assault forge guns are the bane of shield tanks.
If you go to your fittings page in your neocom and let a suit load while in the warbarge, you will spawn faster.
Don't solo! sticking with your squad you at least some random blue dots will decrease your number of deaths AND increase your number of kills.
Keep glancing at your radar. Make sure you have support around you. If they die off, RUN! You do your team more good alive.
Also, stay aware of your objectives. If they start to blink, you can usually get their in time to get an easy kill and save the objective. |

Another pro tip to add to that, dont spawn on camped CRU's...... look at your map before you spawn, PRESS SQUARE! I dont understand how the entire team (while being camped) continues to spawn on said CRU. It boggles ones mind.
The current spawn system spawns you next to blue dots. If your entire team has been pushed to the CRU... pick a fast suit with a lot of EHP and a drop uplink and RUN for a safe place to drop that uplink. It can break the campfest, if you're lucky. Also, try to coordinate your spawns with your squad/ team to overwhelm your enemies ability to kill you all. |
