No what it also means is that if enough player groups independently let alone in any sort of coordinated effort will be able to commit minimal efforts and continue to take over any districts you build up for themselves..
Money is nice but if you can't buy the personel to protect it then what good is it anyway? |

Although my wording wasn't exactly ideal in my post, I will say that the 300M was a fairly substantial hit to our corp wallet. Regardless, I can honestly say that it won't be a major issue regaining the lost ISK. As you may have seen from our many mass messages that have been posted on the forum by a "spy", our policy has always been against significant corporate donations. If necessary, we will be able to organize a drive to quickly restore our lost funds.
As for the issues in organizing for the battle, we had to deal with unauthorized players entering the battle, which is an issue in our corp and something that we normally have means of preventing (Holdings). Any 8 PFBH would have been able to fight effectively in a battle against PRO.
We were particularly mismatched against the group you deployed. If I'm not mistaken, you had a Sagaris, a laser, a dropship spotter, and the rest were Krin's/Duvolle Assault. We had a fragmented squad of what was supposed to be 2 Proto HMG Heavies, a Duvolle Assault, and one Proto Logistics, and a squad with a shield tank, 2 Duvolle Assault, and myself with a Proto Shotgun/RE Scout. The first squad was first broken up by the unauthorized player, then one of our best Heavies got disconnected just before the match started. I'm not blaming our loss on these setbacks, it would have been a loss even if we had deployed without issues. I will say that it would have gone very different if we had the resources to deploy a more effective team, we might have still lost, but we would have had a chance of winning.
Personally, I can't support the disliking of the video in terms of the outcome itself, it was a loss and a mistake. Given the situation, I did find the teabagging incredibly excessive and immature considering the conditions of the battle. Even in the wake of major blunders like these, PRO tries to uphold a level of maturity and professionalism in major battles, I don't think it is wrong to expect the same in return.

Joe isn't free from this, I'm going to have a talk with him to try and see why this happened and help him make sure it doesn't happen again, but this isn't as big as a hit for a corp this size.

My intent was to show that we were able to make a very substantial sum of money without the aid of large donations, we were able to do it without fully utilizing all of the resources available to us. This means that we will have no issues regaining the lost funds. A small percentage take from a corporate tax obviously does not fall under the category of "large donation". It is something we have discussed as a possibility in the future and it is fully supported under our policy and by all previous statements.
the point then being if and when a tax comes why should members of PRO stick around if your leaders throw away their hard earned money because they were too drunk to count zeroes (i get it lack of commas is a *****) |

The no Tax corps either are groups of friends who know each other outside of EVE, or they just die quickly. Once Tax is actually implemented, the starter corps will probably have it like in EVE, so the money you get from PvE will have 10% off of it. So joining a corp with 9% is already a benefit. Also, it wasn't counting zeros, there was an attempt to transfer money from PRO to PRO Holdings.
so thats the best method you could come up with to transfer money b/w corps? Interception was never a forethought? |

And will find new ways to lose it too i bet. |
