I'm not so worried about the money thing, as from my calculations from the amount of tickets bought in the lottery x cost per ticket, this is pocket change. I am worried about the video, seeing people I know getting slaughtered doing noob mistakes. I mean really, am I the only one noticing that? |

Not much I can say concerning our performance in the battle. We were completely unprepared and heavily out gunned. We were just coming back from a previous corp battle against STB and had another planned to start in about 45 minutes. We were already a bit short for the corp battles we had planned in advance, even more so for an impromptu battle for most of the corp's wallet. We pulled together the best we could, but we were plagued with setbacks. Morale was fairly low going into the game and only decreased as it went on. I could make excuses all day, but I don't have any choice but to concede that they were better prepared, had better gear, and fielded better players. I'm not fooling myself or anyone else. We lost, nothing changes that. I understand. Now a question, were you guys the players from PRO Holdings? |

As I said, we were short at the time and would have fielded a very different team if everyone had been present. Personally, I probably would have been swapped out once we saw the map we were on if the situation was more under control. Ah, good to know. |

No. No no no no no no no.
Anyone that is still in PRO after this clusterf*ck should be banned from playing in clans altogether because you obviously didn't have the common sense to join a good clan in the first place, and secondly, you're willing to put up with being involved with one of the most inept clan leaders I've ever seen in 12 plus years of online FPS gaming.
There is no "positive" spin to this. 630 million down the tubes? Pocket Lint? Really? Try to shluff it off all you like, but the fact remains that this is, and likely shall stand to be, the biggest blunder in DUST history and if the players of PRO are willing to put up with this, then what aren't they willing to put up with?
Have some self respect PRO members, step up in the world and join an NPC corp. 1600 members, each buying a ticket for 250,000 for a lottery. Calculate the money. Now think how much money we have. Now think how much money we will have once TAX exists. |

Answer? About 630 Million less than you had before. Seriously, this is like asking Enron or GE to write your environmental policy so stalwart of a keeper of the PRO pocketbook you guys are And you ommited the second part where I said we couldn't care less because this isn't too big a hit for a corp our size. Unlike yours where something like that would be devastating. (Before you got the 600mil from us of course) |

"Have a talk with him".....so I guess that means your either serving or buying. People make mistakes, he was drunk. Everyone deserves a second chance, and helping others instead of kicking them down is preferable. Unless, ya know, you hate a person. |

Sure, they're a huge ISK investment, but they have so many of those they just poop them on demand. So does everyone go and laugh at them for losing a Titan? Nope. |

This isn't about the money or the mistake this is about Joe going around blaming fictional spies, friends, and everyone else for his mistake. This is about Joe threatening to break up PRO and his general freak out in open corp chat. If a normal person makes a mistake he tries to fix it. If he can't he says he is sorry, mans up, and takes responsibility for it. Not go around acting like a paranoid tyrant. Everyone knows he doesn't trust anyone not even his own GD brother. He sees imaginary spies everywhere. He was drunk. People do stupid things when they're drunk. |

Laz Ulian Sol wrote:1,600 x 250,000 = 400,000,000
Now that's assuming absolutely every one of those 1,600 entered your lottery. Well, with benefit of the doubt and a few doubles thrown in I'll say 450 mil is a good estimate.
You say you've done two of these lotteries? Well then that's 900 million ISK.
BTW, we scrambled players into squads for this match 5 minutes before it happened, as well as had multiple offers for ringers from other corps who wanted to be a piece of this battle. Way to accept responsibility Shutter, and to all those other guys, keep on zerging that video! Reminds me of mangudiaforce spamming dislikes on MAG vids when he got butthurt that he couldn't TK his OIC. We have more than one source of money, the corp only holds a fraction of our money ;) |

Deadeyes Anterie wrote:To their statements it's pocket change, I find that hard to believe. Joe even came back on IRC and said that he was going to have to fund the lotto out of his own pocket.
I don't know the exact structure of PRO financing, but it sounds like the Joe, and maybe other Directors have a policy of keeping ISK in their pocket instead of the Corporation. It shows basic distrust of the other leaders, and I wouldn't be surprised if all the ISK goes *poof* once the leadership decides it's not worth the effort to try and defend their districts.
It's a warning falling on deaf ears as I suspect 80% of PRO members are in the Corporation because they got in game mail, and have no idea these forums even exist. Oh you. The whole point of the lottery is getting funds for the corp. Its 50/50 prize pool and corp. Since the prize pool AND the corp funds were taken away by the Pink and fluffy people, Joe, instead of taking money from the corp decided to take responsibility and pay from his wallet for the lottery. I think this is fare. |

So tip your hat and let it be. Actually, the loss is 300mil, and in EVE 600mil is nothing, I wipe my ass with 600mil. My mission running Megathron costs around 2bil, just because I'm so rich I have no idea what to do with the money. Now that's just my personal money, think about the money alliances have. |

My intent was to show that we were able to make a very substantial sum of money without the aid of large donations, we were able to do it without fully utilizing all of the resources available to us. This means that we will have no issues regaining the lost funds. A small percentage take from a corporate tax obviously does not fall under the category of "large donation". It is something we have discussed as a possibility in the future and it is fully supported under our policy and by all previous statements. the point then being if and when a tax comes why should members of PRO stick around if your leaders throw away their hard earned money because they were too drunk to count zeroes (i get it lack of commas is a *****) It is standard fare to have tax in corps in EVE, why should it be different in Dust? The no Tax corps either are groups of friends who know each other outside of EVE, or they just die quickly. Once Tax is actually implemented, the starter corps will probably have it like in EVE, so the money you get from PvE will have 10% off of it. So joining a corp with 9% is already a benefit.
Also, it wasn't counting zeros, there was an attempt to transfer money from PRO to PRO Holdings. |

Interception was never a forethought? I am not sure what happened, however Joe tolled me there was a technical problem, and the contract didn't show up for PRO Holdings.
I never actually managed a corp in Dust, can you directly transfer money from corp to corp? Also can you put up a contract for a specific corp? |
