I'm having trouble actually deciding what to run in my EQ slots. I only have 3 slots(haven't gotten 1,000,000+ skill points yet for the Proto and I still have stuff I wan't to skill into before then). Injector is a staple. I use a Mass Driver, so Nanos are pretty much required. In the last slot I have to choose between the Repair Tool, Drop Links, and Remove Explosives. Remotes aren't really necessary, but they are useful if an enemy is closing in on me, so I won't end up killing myself with the MD if it he gets too close. They also can do some damage to tanks. Repair Tool is something everyone expects a Logi to have(People shooting at me to heal them, even when I'm healing someone else/targeting an enemy that coming in on us). Drop Links win games; it really helps get people organized/in a secure spot without random spawning to enemy territory and they provide the most war points as well. So what should I run in the last slot? |

Repair tool is probably the best. That's what I run. I'd like to have the remote explosives too, but their more situational than the RT. Also the droplink is more situational.
You might consider making different fits, and switching as necessary. |

There are two distinct paths you can take. One's more of a combat engineer sort of job and the other is full support.
It is best to equip a repair tool with an injector. I find reviving people on 50% armour with my KIN-012 is simply not good enough. I survive most of my fights with roughly 30% armour; the people I'm picking up need at least 70% armour to live at least one hostile encounter.
So if you wish to equip a droplink or REs, go for droplink/RE/nanohives. Place the uplink in an area that is safe, leave nanohives near it and behind cover, and it becomes a mini camp for your team. You yourself can maintain that camp, using remote explosives to cover points where you believe enemies will come through. If this little camp is close enough to an objective, I find it's possible to defend that objective with your REs as well.

Another train of thought is to have a suit dedicated to quickly drop an uplink, then upon death or near supply depot, switch to your non-DU suit. Then if the DU is destroyed, do it again. However, keep in mind this method is much less reactive than always running a DU.
By always running a DU you can drop them as the battle evolves, dictating where to bring in new squad members. Allowing you to fall back and push forward much faster.
Personally, I am using the latter method more. I use the gauged DU so I can maintain a fall back area and a more aggressive spawn. |

Do this + my take on MD Logi:
-Logi B-Series -Proto MD -Flux nades -Proto nanite injector -Triage nanohive -3 Armor plates -3 Damage mods
You use the triage nanohive instead of repair tool to repair yourself and your teammates. You take advantage of high number of low slots to stack armor. If you feel you're running out of ammo fast use A-Series with an additional ammo nanohive.

Read your post, I'd suggest gaged or equivalent uplinks on the first fit, then switch to the repair tool.
Edit: Grammar. |
