This is early, yes, but I thought I'd see what people think of being able to launch raids into districts in PC. These would not be intended to be corp battles, with the intention of wearing down or taking a district, but instead covert raids to hamper clone production, or the efficiency of an installation.
How could this be done? Here's one way: The owner could put ISK and infrastructure into defence installations and equipment to safeguard their facilities. A raid could consist only of 1 squad (full or not) and would be pitted against a defence system that is augmented by the controlling corps' invested defence systems. This would be a cooperative PVE in a sense. There would have to be a cooldown time between raids, and the rewards for completing the mission - say destroying a building or structure - would be to temporarily slow the production of clones, or the effects of installations.
Due to a cooldown, an assault from a Corp would want to coordinate an elite squad to attempt a raid, since the cooldown would kick in whether successful or not.

This would be interesting. Maybe there could be stealth raids where the defenders would know they were coming but not from where or when. Also, I think there would have to be actual people defending it. |

This has merit, but I would probably go about it a different way. I really like the incorporating the PvE into the PvP frame of the game. I like the idea of setting up defenses and putting $$$ into it. I like the idea that you can wear down a district via PvE to make it open to attack via PvP.
But yea, you can't just attack a district, you have to first start PvEing against the district to bust down the drone defenses and such and then once you have wore out those then it opens up the district to be attacked on the Attackers timetable instead of the Defenders time table. But you can only bring as many clones to the PvP battle as you brought to the PvE battle. |

these would especially be cool and pressure filled if this was a mode that allowed no respawns. if you died you respawned back on the ship and had to watch through the HUD of the guys still there. |

Ooooo that would be hardcore. This would really be a challenge to the best players in your corps , and would create more avenues for Eve interaction and more assets and avenues of conflict. |
