In the new trailer that CCP released you saw a shiny new dropsuit, considering it looks like a medium frame suit it might be an assault dropsuit.
But is it a reskin of the current assault dropsuit or is it the new Gallente assault it probably is , as the mercs are gallentean.
Can I has confirmation. |

Gallentean design, so I would guess it's Gallente Assault Suit
And in the video, they are talking about taking back Caldari Prime from Caldari. |

I've always thought that it looks a little bit big for medium frame, looks kinda like a slim large frame, though I'm probably wrong. But I'd put money on it being a new Gallente suit, I'd also reckon that if one faction gets a new suit, we could see suits for the other factions coming with it. |

CCP Wolfman confirmed in IRC that it is a Gallente medium frame (should have been obvious), but he did not call it an assault.
The Minmatar medium frame suit isn't an assault (its logistics), so I don't see why people are jumping to assumptions and calling the new suit an assault just because of the frame size, medium frame =/= assault. For all we know, each suit will have its own unique role. |

I'm surprised how many people keep bringing "command" up. There is no command suit, it has been renamed crusader, and it's Amarr. This suit is Gallente, so it cannot be the crusader. |

Command suits are still on the table.
They're the guys flying the MCC and commanding the entire army on the field.
As for Reskin question.
CCP doesn't skimp that often. Sure weapons but when it comes to suits, they're going to go the full 9 yards. If they give it a new model its going to have new stats. |

Gallente already have a light frame (scout), but this new suit looks too adept at infantry combat to be pilot. My guess is the pilot will be a large frame suit; something slow, maybe only has a sidearm. |

I just don't understand what use a pilot suit would have for anything other than a light frame, just seems to me a larger frame would take more time to run into your vehicle.  |

Gallente use more armour than shields. Less shields=smaller power pack. Or that's my theory. |

That makes sense. What doesn't make sense to me is people saying that the Gallente pilot suit can't be light-frame because the Gallente already have the scout. It sounds to me that the pilot suit will be a different experience regardless of what size it is. |

Given that the Gallente Pilot and the Amarr Crusader suits have both been known about for a long time, it's being assumed that they will be in the next update.
It's logical for people to combine that with the assumption that we're not getting any new suits with overlapping frame sizes.
Anything but a large frame makes sense for the Pilot - and even that could be argued. Early concepts we've seen a LONG time ago made it look like it was similar in size to the Scout, but it could easily be medium. |
