Then hereGÇÖs your chance to stock up on some war material for your hard work! Starting on April 3, we are introducing a brand new event to help our mercs stay in the fight. Here are the details: During the first week of April from Wednesday to Sunday login to DUST, play a few matches each day and win in-game items! Each dayGÇÖs event will have 3 different ranks of mission requirements. The more you play, the better the rewards. Rank 1 requirement: play at least one match to win in-game items. Rank 2 requirement: play at least three matches to win in-game items. Rank 3 requirement: play at least five matches to win in-game items. See below for details on the mission rewards for each day of the week! MISSION REWARDS - WEEK OF APRIL 3-7 RANK 1 Rank 1 mission rewards (play 1 match each day to qualify). Wednesday: 5 copies of standard Shotgun blueprints. Thursday: 5 copies of standard Submachine Gun blueprints. Friday: 5 copies of standard Sniper Rifle blueprints. Saturday: 5 copies of standard Scout Type-I dropsuit blueprints. Sunday: 10 copies of Enhanced Kinetic Catalyzer blueprints. RANK 2 Rank 2 mission rewards (play 3 matches each day to qualify). Wednesday: 5 copies of CRG-3 Shotgun blueprints. Thursday: 5 copies of M512-A Submachine gun blueprints. Friday: 5 copies of NT-511 Sniper Rifle blueprints. Saturday: 5 copies of Scout A-Series dropsuit blueprints. Sunday: 20 copies of Enhanced Kinetic Catalyzer blueprints. RANK 3 Rank 3 mission rewards (play 5 matches each day to qualify Wednesday: 10 copies of CRG-3 Shotgun blueprints. Thursday: 10 copies of M512-A Submachine gun blueprints. Friday: 10 copies of NT-511 Sniper Rifle blueprints. Saturday: 5 copies of Scout B-Series dropsuit blueprints. Sunday: 35 copies of Enhanced Kinetic Catalyzer blueprints. i see nothing for heavies I'm getting used to the shaft, my friend. Look at it this way. All these free suits will at least be semi-valuable to some people when the market opens. lol, yeah. now if only CCP would stop the shafting and give us some heavy suits for the next live event reward
I would rather they give us non-heavy stuff, seeing as how CCP has still not commented on a plan to fix heavys we are gonna need that stuff when we all have to respec |

they're bpc's.
It's just an event to get some more people active in testing, and to test out the AUR items they could have if they'd spend some cash.
aka free samples of AUR to encourage sales. BPC people. |

Pfft.....these are the rewards for the event? These are not very valuable at all. If you want a lot of people to be playing this game, you would need to offer some officer weapons/suits for rank 3, prototype stuff for rank 2, and advanced level stuff for rank 1.
But if this event is intended for all those players who are starting out then I guess these rewards are suitable. |

Why even bother calling them Blueprints if they are single use? That just seams pointless to me... if you can only use it once, wouldn't it be considered a manufactured item? Then you would have your BPC back in your pod to create more. Last time I checked I wasn't dropping onto a planet with a blueprint and paper-cutting my enemies to death. |

IIRC, the current explanation is that the "items" you buy are actually BPCs that allow the nanofactories on the Warbarge/MCC/CRU to make the item in real time on the battlefield.
In EVE lore, BPCs have licensed production runs limited by advanced DRM. BPOs have no such limit.
BPCs are important in EVE because you cannot "invent" Tech 2 items from BPOs. You have to research a BPC to attempt the creation of a Tech 2 BPC. |

Close, you actually do invention on the BPC and if successful you get a Tech 2 BPC of the item with the number of runs and/or ME based on what add-ons you used in the invention process and the starting number of runs/me of the BPC.
Also, 5 matches a day?, that's easy :P

The rewards seem a little low, but if the event is planned to go for multiple weeks then maybe there is a plan to increase or change the rewards for different weeks.
In the future, I suggest that we only get the rewards if we win matches or maybe if we get kills to discourage AFKness. |

Wait, but if the rewards are meant for n00bs.. if a noob were to play 5 matches he would receive an item that is way too advanced for his skill set.. furthermore, if said noob would want an item that he can use, he's only allowed to play one game that day? This doesn't seam very well thought out... |

Anyway, all of these items are clearly meant for killing heavies, I wonder what CCP has against them? |

Conspiracy Theory: it's not about YOU
CCP wants to keep player interest and involvement up between now and 6may. They also have a metric-kitten ton of data about who is using what, when, etc.
So, they plan a "dangle the carrot" event to see how much player involvement they can drive while boosting the use of particular items and modules they need more info about.
Now be good mice and Run That Maze! |
