I am dissapointed by how learning skill books is not like in EVE
It should be like in EVE , you buy a Skill book with ISK then you activate it with some ammount of Skill Points then the skill should become complete in a set amount of time.
Why isnt like in EVE?

Cause this is a different game. I don't see any problem with the current system. |

Well, I will admit its annoying to be in the market place trying to buy some guns and having the skillbooks listed there, so then you gotta buy it and go back to the skill menu and train it then go back. It would be very cool and "smooth" if you could have just bought the book from the market page and a little pop up showed up asking you if your sure you want to spend the SP, here is how much SP you have, you hit X and you can now buy the gun without switching pages.
Also if you already have the skill and you try to buy a weapon you don't have enough skill for it pops up and ask if you want to invest in SP to get the skill to use the weapon. |

It"s actually almost this. you dont have to go back into your skill menu to train the skill. BUT you still have to hit it "twice'" (actually 4 times X ) BUY then USE the skill then TRAIN the skill.
CPP understand that the concept of buying a skill and not using it is completly irrelevant to an FPS CONSOLE gamer.
it is somehow usefull in a detailed game like EVE ONLINE but it has no reason of existing in DUST. UNLESS you are a CORP CEO or DIRECTOR and you shop skills to put in the CORPORATION HANGAR for your fellows corpmates to use for free but we are still pretty far from having such a wonderfull mechanic in this game yet.. |

When you try to buy a weapon/other item that you don't have the skills for, it should just give you the option to buy and train the appropriate skills right there, displaying the total amount of ISK and SP required.
If anything Dust is too similar to Eve right now regarding how unnecessarily complex it is to do everything. I spent 5-10 mins the other day just trying to get a rocket launcher for the default anti-armor class, which is pretty ridiculous for a console game. |

Yea, thats been my problem with fits as well. There is just so much stuff I gotta click through.
Honestly I think I would like to have ALL options on the table just in the fitting room, just gray out anything I don't have and like Red out anything I don't have the skills for. I click my weapon slot and it shows me everything that COULD go in there by category then I can click the category and it expands to the different versions I could buy. And then just have a little button I could click that says limit index to what I have or limit index to what I have skills for. And you can just buy right there like you would restock. |
