So i have a armor HAV
I have 7 active modules which all need activating at different times
The problem is the control wheel and the aut positioning of the active modules
The high slot modules are always the 1st on the wheel
The low slot modules follow after the high slot modules so they are always last
With an armor tank the low slot modules are normally priority yet i cannot change the position on the control wheel for what would suit me best
Also if using a KB you cannot assign different keys to the controls or anything else for that matter, i would like to be able to put keys for each of my active modules
Same with a controller, the general driving controls you cannot change, also we have 2 unused buttons which i could use for an active module or 2 yet i cannot use them |

+1 Yeah... The Wheel needs some work to be spent on it... For CCP Devs and DUST Mercs alike... It can cart you to the graveyard very fast... as it is very attention grabbing wheel... |

+1, good post, the wheel is not smooth at all. However I will admit it will be difficult trying to fit so many possible keys on a little Ps3 controller. They may need to make one of the PS3 keys a Shift key, like press in L3 and all buttons then become something else. Like L3 + L2 is Module 2 etc etc. |

Simply allowing us to set up our own control schemes would be a major boon. Not everyone uses every button, map and push to talk come to mind, so allowing us to remove those if we choose to would allow for a bit of flexibility. Also, some people prefer strange control schemes (EX: southpaw) and rather than trying to pre-program them in, CCP could just allow us to remap every button. They could also add extra options that are not in the default control set up. Fix the wheel problem by adding "Equipment Swap" button option that has to be custom mapped, for example, or adding quick menu options for "LAV", "HAV", "Dropship", "Off-Map Support", or "Installations".
Being able to remap the schemes for flying, driving, and tanking should be theoretically possible to. Personally, I'd love to have the unused X button or the Right Stick for acceleration when using a LAV, and cars that weigh more than paper, but some people would prefer something else. This would also make it easier, or at least more familiar, to swap between weapons and modules.
Of course a completely customizable system would be hard to work for new players, increasing the potential menu work, but those who complain can just use the default system and it would minimize the learning curve for players switching from other FPS games. |

Default is fine
But i think its a basic requirment that we all need to an extent
7 active mods is mental and it will get me killed at some point |
