Let me break it down for u

currently i dont afk farm i still suffer through my weekly cap but i fully understand why ppl do

1st off pubs are MEANINGLESS in the grand scheme of things
ppl who afk farm are from the prominent corps and the reason they do this is because unlike u these ppl are in actual corps that plan to play FW and especially PC so they need to keep gettin the SP to get their gear up and builds sorted.

When FW and PC drops u'd be dumb goin into those fights with std gear so ppl need the SP

This beta has been at a standstill since October or so. U really expect ppl to NOT be bored to death?
if all ppl cared about was pubs then ppl wouldnt afk farm, they would leave the game and just collect the passive SP and come back when its better and more content added but they cant do that atm when PC and FW will be highly competitive

Each time i join a match (by looking at the scoreboard), i can immediately see which team is going to win...
So, if you're AFK in the winning team you're just evening things out. If you're AFK on the losing team you are just saving your team clones for your teammates to die as much as they want... lol

I'll say it again, in any other game, if you were bored with it, you would not turn it on. Being bored, our burnt out, or calling the main game mode (for those not in elite corps) meaningless. is not an excuse to rob players excited by the game, fresh to the game, and adding new meaning to their playstyle. . . a chance of winning a match, which might surprise you, is more important than whether a particular skill is at level 3 or 4.

Dude the matches that made me start that other thread were matches that I told myself looking at starting scoresheet this is going to be a good match or "we got this" The player names and corp names that got me thinking that way are the ones that bailed while still on the battlefield. There is now no way to judge the initial scoresheet because you never know who will actually play.

This doesn't addresss what I said in the post. People are saying they are bored. Really, they are being selfish and inconsiderate. I'd take a scrub meat shield any day over statue character taking a dump in real life.

Yes, even if that player is shooting at the MCC with a blaster like a mad man, as long as never gives up, there is at least the illuision of team spirit. or the idea that one day that guy will improve and bring down the MCC the real way.

A scrub can delay and distract and that is more valuable than 0/0 no show. Yeah, effort matters.

2 or 3 enemies gun down an easy target while laughing. One of their heads explodes thanks to a friendly sniper, another 2 go down to a Shotgun Scout.

We lost one guy who "cost us clones". They lost 3 because he kept their sights off the real threats for just long enough...

Who's more valuable? The suicidal decoy, or the guy in the MCC who doesn't even do THAT job right?

Even if they really screw you over, I'd rather someone ACTIVELY screwing the team because they're so bad than someone who COULD win single-handed but stands in a corner and does nothing instead because "I'm bored, but I still want to be rewarded without participation".

im voting with my wallet , no more AUR for me because of this AFK exploiting issue, in a MMO cheating is a no-go

that may be true , hope more people will vote with wallets too so the reduced income lets them rethink it

Seriously. You have no RIGHT to skill points. If you cannot bring yourself to play the game, don't.

I frequently choose to not play the game- because I'm tired, bored, busy, and so on. In making that choice, I accept that I may miss out on some SP. I'm sure that I don't have as many skill points as you, and I'm fine with that. I don't require an epeen to enjoy a game. I don't feel like I need to max my in-game skills and rock proto gear to enjoy the game.

I've stated before that I believe AFK farming to be tantamount to macro mining, i.e.- it should be a bannable offense. At the very least, those players who advocate it and openly admit to it should be reset to 0 SP.
