Hi, I'm also having this problem, again. The last time this happened, it was addressed pretty well by the player base in this thread:

What happened last time was my synch stalled somewhere between 1% and 12% of the "synchronizing... _/53." screen. As recommended I retried, at least 60 times between Monday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 27th. (Also scattered within those efforts were a rebuilding the database, deleting and downloading the game again, wiping the HD and reinstalling everything, including the System update. Nothing worked until I tried what DoubleTap420 recommended, using a faster internet connection. Tried to synch again at my brother's house (a 5Mbps download speed internet connection, instead of a 1.5Mbps download speed at my house.) Synched up on the first try.
The error (for me) is unique to each PSN account. After successfully synching up at my brother's house, and then returning to my own, slower internet connection, only my account worked. No other account on my PS3 was able to get past the synch up stall somewhere between 1% and 12%, even though my account was fully functional after April 27th, until yesterday, Thursday May 2nd.
Yesterday, I attempted to "Connect to CCP's server.." and got a stall at "Synchronizing.... 0/1" at 1% I retried and got the "Synchronizing...1/53" which stalled at 1%.
This implies to me that the problem is rooted in updates to the our character's inventory by CCP (rather than through regular gameplay purchases and salvage). Weren't we scheduled to receive Endurance contest rewards? Would that explain the repetition of the failure to synch this Thursday, among people with slower broadband connections?
I realize that other people might be having different problems, but the problems I'm having appear to be related specifically to the first several files that synch up my account when I launch the game, not the game itself. I'll attempt the "use a faster internet connection" workaround again tonight or tomorrow, and report back. Everyone else reporting their problem in thread, might consider also relaying their download speed when they check "Test Connection" on their PS3.
Thanks for looking into this, and hopefully resolving it so that those of us with slower broadband connections can still synch up with Dust 514. |

Just posting to confirm that taking my PS3 to my brother's house, with a 5 Mbps internet connection solved this problem again. Synch that had been stalling on 1% at my house, completed without any problem on the first try at my brother's house. That's twice now this work around has worked for me, after the April 22 update, and after the latest "Corrupt data" error.
Please post your internet connection download speed in this thread if you're still having this problem. I'm curious if anyone,with a download speed in excess of 3Mbps, is getting this error when connecting to CCP's servers. |

Synchronizing error, again. This time only my account is stalling, usually at 2%, but about three out of 50 attempts made it to 42%. The new oddity is that my brothers' accounts had no trouble synching and launching the game on the same PS3. My account is the oldest with the most skill points and equipment, of the accounts used on this PS3.
I'll post again if I work around the stalling "synchronizing..." by using a faster broadband connection, again.
A question for CCP, does each exchange during the synchronizing process have a timeout of about 23 seconds? I stall at various places between 2% and 42%, but even though the process lingers on some percentages, the process doesn't fail entirely until its been stuck for about 23 seconds. Is this the time limit on CCP's end, after which it ends the attempt to synchronize?
Why this would only happen on my account and not my brothers' accounts on the same PS3, is very odd. Mine is the only account that has purchased and spent Aurum. Is that why only my account is stalling during the synch? |
